Birthday Shout-Outs! (01/2012)

And before everyone thinks I forgot, here are the results of the Birthday Club contest for a $5 gift card! I started off the contest with very little interest, which was exactly what I wanted to challenge. I know people join the club for the gift card and then leave without reading my posts or wishing others a Happy Birthday. But when it’s your month, you want people to be excited about your month and celebrate with you, right? And when it’s someone else’s you should party your booties off for your fellow Edenites, right? I thought so!

I want to give a brief introduction to the one who won the contest. She was interested in what birthdays meant to others and wanted to hear more about our individual contributors. Though it’d be near impossible to give a blurb about each person on my list every month (I now have over 300 birthdays!), she inspired me to start the discussion/sharing part of the thread. So I hope everyone takes her wish to heart and joins in!

So, without further ado, the winner of the contest is teachmetouchme!!! Who, ironically, is also celebrating her birthday this month! That will give her a $30 gift card to put toward her birthday gift! Whatever shall she get??? I hope we hear from her what she plans on doing to celebrate her own birthday! less
