That's about 2-3 hours by car for me. Doable but not easily with the kids.

If I had a passport and no children, I would definitely be there..... So lets just say I will have to look into finding somebody with a car and a babysitter.

I think the Midwest (like Chicago) would be better... middle of the country... lots to do... and MOST of us seem to live in the Midwest

I would definitely try! It'd be the highlight of my summer. My grandparents are originally from southern PA so I'm no stranger to that area. And I'm actually only like 515 miles from there so I could drive or fly.

I don't think I would come out JUST for a BBQ being that far from me, but if I could put together a trip that also included NY sites of other sorts, it would be perfect.
