I have an app on my phone that I use to make a list. That way I can add things as I think of them wherever I happen to be. If my husband is going instead of me (which is usually the case), I can just print or email the list for him.
I always make a list otherwise I forget too many things. Mostly I stick to the list with the exception of the usual milk, bread and eggs types of purchases we make every week.

Same here. The app stores previous items entered so I don't have to remember anything!
I'm very bad about making a list. Though, most of the time I go to the store the same items aren't always there. So, we just buy what we think we need.
Yes, or I forget to pick up certain stuff. We have a magnetic post it pad that lives on the side of the fridge that we add stuff too when we need more and I take it with me when it's time to go shopping.
Always...I make a menu out for a month at a time and make a grocery list for each week's recipes or foods. Works great for us and we don't buy a bunch of stuff we don't need.
Sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. I usually go up and down the isles to get what I need. Also if it is something I forgot a couple times while at the store then I will write those items down so I do not do it again.
sometimes, if I am going to try cooking something new. But most of the times, no. I know what I am short on and what I might need. Most of my recipes are in my head.
