My favorite steamed foods have to be, absolutely HAVE to be pork, onion and cabbage dumplings. I had some from a market and they were straight-up AMAZING; the onions were both white onions and green onions and I'm pretty sre they were seasoned with 5-spice...

I have never had a better steamed food. Like ever. Aaaahhh.

Awesome! That one was a little bit luck, and now I'm drooling over the ideas of all of these delicious foods. (Tamales are definitely in EC's future.)

My boyfriend will only eat brussel sprouts if they're smothered in cheese sauce. I'm going to get him to try them steamed!!

I just cut them in half with oil, salt, garlic salt and pepper. And roast them. Soooooo good.

Thanks so much for coming to this meeting, everyone! It was great to get to learn so much about such an important, quick, and easy cooking technique and share it with you.

I can't wait til next month's meeting.

Just gauging interest---if there was a continuing way to participate in the Eden Cooks club, like the Iron Chefs threads, would you cook and share your stories and pictures?

I kind of miss those threads and think they were a lot of fun.

Any other ideas are welcome too. Thanks for coming, everyone!

I really love red bean steam buns... bao, in Chinese? Filled with sweet red bean paste... they are so delicious and a perfect meal end.
