G'night ladies! I hope you all have a fabulous evening and I look forward to chatting again!

I'm not too bad, but I just visited the website my friend suggested for retro type dresses, and found a whole bunch that I like, have to own, lol
I used to do historical costuming. Which period of retro are you into?

Rockabilly, which I guess is more 50's but I can do my colored hair and piercings and tattoos lol.

Yes, like that, only, maybe a little less expensive. I have a hard time justifying more than $20-30 for a dress

All things considered I was ok with that price. But I am gonna hunt around and see if maybe it's also for sale elsewhere for a better price. If I see anything like that, I'll let you know.

Haunt your local thrift stores. (And I do mean haunt. Make your presence known.) Talk to the proprietors and tell them what you like and what you're prepared to spend. They can be a great resource. But it is time consuming.

If it's ever on UBER CLEARANCE? It won't be in my size.

That's how all clearance situations work. It's NEVER my size

I was heavily into swing dancing a while back, but I didn't dress retro. I just loved dancing.

Haha, that's how I've been doing it. Resale shops and places like Plato's Closet. I've only recently started looking and haven't been putting a ton of effort into it. I'm going to try and just build a collection slowly rather than all at once. Especially since I only get to dress up that way once or twice a week anyway.

If it makes you feel better, I've never stumbled across clearance with my size left either

Also, my laptop is about to die, so I've gotta get going. But I've had a great time chatting with you all tonight, seriously. I'll be back to check in again tomorrow morning

It's just inevitable. no matter what size *I* am, or my husband is, or my kids are, that's the size that's out of stock. It's just the rule

Well, it's been fun, but it's time for me to go.
