Let's Pick a Movie to Watch Together

Contributor: BBW Talks Toys BBW Talks Toys
The last time we did this, it was a roaring success! We all had a great time making commentary on the movie and it even inspired review titles! Unfortunately August was crazy busy for me and I didn't have the time to organize one of these for September, but we're going to watch a movie together again before the next Eden Flicks meeting. So pick which movie you're most interested in watching with your fellow Edenites!

Pulp Fiction to me is like the Godfather is to Gangster movies. Its hard to get better and everytime you watch the movie you pick something else new out of it. By the way if this is your thing.... Watch Jackie Brown if you havent. That is just as awsome its like the lost episode of Pulp Fiction. Both great movies!

I think a dramatic, foreign language movie, like [italics|A Very Long Engagement], would be difficult to watch while commenting on it with other people. Those kinds of movies require extra focus. Unless of course, you are referring to a different movie with the same title.

I just chose [italics|Pulp Fiction] because there are loads of stuff to talk about while watching that movie.

However, [italics|Night of the Living Dead] would be a great second choice.

Short video Night of the Zombie

BTW has anybody else seen those wedding photos of the young couple fighting a zombie? It's pretty amazing.

Pulp Fiction is a great movie to discuss--it is 1 of those movies you only begin to understand when it is over. Then you must watch it again to only BEGIN to understand what is going on!!!!!

Isn't Pulp Fiction violent? If so, I want someone to volunteer to take the role my son does when we watch a movie with violence and warn me when I should look away.

It is pretty violent, it's also got a lot of language, and also a lot of drugs and a little sodomy. It's a HELLUVA flick, but it is pretty crude.

I don't mind crudeness or language or drugs. I'm only a sheshul snowflake about violence. Maybe I'll watch the beginning with you all and see how it goes, esp. if someone will warn me when to look away.

There's only one super bloody scene. Most of it is just gun shots but not terribly bloody.

I always get that "WHAT?! Where have you been?!" look when I tell them I haven't seen Pulp Fiction, so this looks like it's going to be a wonderful opportunity for me to change that!

I haven't seen Pulp Fiction, or actually any movies in that list besides Kick-Ass.

I also haven't seen Matrix, Star Wars, Harry Potter, Twilight, Godfather, or Indiana Jones.

I live under a rock.

we must be under the same rock! I honestly haven't seen any of these movies except Harry Potter... Star Wars is another one that freaks people out when I tell them I haven't seen it lol... I really have no desire to see it either... it's just not my thing I guess.

Okay, the theme of the next 12 screenings (combined with monthly assignments) is going to be "Classic Movies for (most of) Our Generation" We'll likely start with Star Wars, make our way through The Matrix, Indiana Jones, and eventually get to Harry Potter and Twilight (books way better than movies).

We'll even get to Kill Bill, but I have to warn Tuesday to keep her eyes closed through 3/4 of both movies. Those ARE bloody!

Wow, girl! I thought I was behind on movies! Some of those are classics!!!

You gotta make time to see: Star Wars (original trilogy), Matrix (at least just the first), Godfather (just the first really matters), and Indiana Jones (one of the original three).

Tell me you've at least seen Titanic?
