Doesn't it look like a frosted crystal ball?
I love this moon picture! It really does look like a crystal ball, the detail is great, what kind of a lens do you need to take that kind of picture? more than 500mm right?

By the way, I just looked through everyone's photos and they look AWESOME! I wish I could have been here to give more imput and have my water photo critiqued but jet lag and the time zone difference of 14 hours is killing me and throwing me off for this
I've been incredibly busy with moving in and getting ready for classes and orientation, etc.

You could use a big lens, or you can attach a camera to a spotting scope or telescope to get great, close views of the moon.

I never thought about that! Thanks for the idea, now I just need a telescope.
Will my water photo that I put on tumblr be critiqued or is the tumblr just to submit pictures for fun and viewing?

I critiqued it, but I can't make anyone else do so.

Beautiful work, Spoken Pandora. For just a beginner, I dare say you have much potential.

Wow Thanks Vaccinium!I've been reading your blog and looking at the pictures of all the talent in your club. I really enjoy photography and have become addicted in just a week. This is my first real camera and I must admit that some of my own photos surprised me. I think I have close to 500 pics so far...lol. I really would like to see it evolve into more than just a hobby and possibly one day be able to submit a stunning portfolio to someone...Thanks again and I love your work!

This is so exciting! I didn't think about their being other photographers on EF! Here are some of our most recent shots:

Oh that would be gorgeous in black and white!

I have a picture that I took a few years ago of a sunrise in the mirror of the Cadillac I had bought off of my husband before we got back together. He absolutely loves it, so I had it blown up and it's going to hang in our house when we get one

I wish the window had been clean. After it was blown up you could see all the streaks from the rain. It makes it more realistic, but it'd look more professional if it was all clear.

Awesome sunrise shot, especially from your rear view mirror.

We don't have any sunrise pics, here's a sunset shot instead (it gives me a Harry Potter feel):

By the way, here's the Lovejoy Fountain's black & white version, it's been cropped to look better in the frame:

Thanks! We've had them both blown-up and framed, along with many others, my husband's been on a frenzy hanging his pictures on the walls!

My first semi-succesful attempt at getting a picture of text reflected on a pair of glasses. Follow the link to my Tumblr post to be able to see it in high resolution which is the only way that you can actually see the text.

Reflection of "Jabberwocky" text on reading glasses.

Finally got some better "reflected text on glasses" shots. They are posted on the Eden Photographers Tumblr site: link

None of them are exactly what I was hoping for, but at least they worked well enough that you can tell what the text says.
