Very valid point there Airen!! And sorry about your relationship with your parents, regardless of what we did or they do or did, it still sucks.

I completely understand that. I can't write much about her. I believe actually those are the only two I have ever written and completed. I write nothing of my father. I cried the whole freaking time though and had some serious anger afterwards...

Coming out the other side strong is something a lot of people strive for. Kudos to you for being a strong woman

Thank you Sam! That means a lot to me. Probably just a wee bit more than your condom nom.

SO Spoken Pandora floored me with her poem "For You". It was exactly how I felt about Arch...totaly blown away and remade into something and someone new. With Sigel I was so young that I remember just wondering how it could beso wonderful and so scary. I tried so hard not to love Arch...afterall I was MARRIED! It was Sigel who answered my heart and said yes for me. Such an amazing time and you said it all for me.

And just so everyone knows, my story is not fiction. It's a process my husband and I have been in for quite a long time.

I think that's why it's so raw and the language isn't as descriptive as I'm probably capable of...

Yes it does but I am happier without them in my life even though it hurts like hell to admit that. They need time and space to work on themselves I can't be their "Cause Celebre" anymore they have to focus on their illnesses not on "fixing" me.

Lol, it's a much bigger compliment, so you should definitely feel free to take it as such

I had a lot of those moments as a teenager. I think they might be the reason why it doesn't bother me anymore. I mean, it bothers me when they come off half-cocked and do stupid shit now, but the stuff in the past? Not so much.

Every once in a while when I meet somebody new, they ask about my parents and I tell them that they are dead. They always say, "I'm sorry" and depending on the situation, I will sometimes say, "I'm not."

I guess sometimes I just enjoy shocking people. It's my teeny tiny form of rebellion. I never got a chance to rebel when they were still alive.

Aww thanks Airen. That is one of my favorites. I saw myself doing all of those things as I wrote them. Hell in my head I did them and hated that I couldn't simply just say it (if that makes sense). I really felt that one. It was one of those desperate moments where it was like I need you to see my soul and sense I can't hand it over to you physically I can write it for you...

Yes! That was an intense poem. I must admit, I read very, very little poetry, but I liked it. And it did make me think about my relationship with my husband. I especially liked the line,
"I am not me
And haven’t been since I met you"

I do feel like he fundamentally changed the person that I am.

Ivy that is one of my favorite lines as well. I wrote it and thought, its so simple, but it carried so much weight with me. I'm glad you picked that line out...

Sapphire your story touched me as well because it's the same sort of shit I did to Sigel when we were young. Great story though..it actually felt catharctic to read. Like I wasn't alone, ya know?

Whoa! That is ... Umm.... I don't know what that is, but I can't wait to find out what happens.

Yeah...I think he feels like we're strong enough to go through this and we'll come out stronger on the other side of it and mine is that I don't want to let anyone get anywhere near this relationship that I've maintained and cherished and grown with since I was a teenager...the insecurity is astounding. He keeps saying he doesn't want to have sex with a woman and can't bear the thought of me being with another man...but sometimes I just get really confused.

Do we have any ideas for next month's themes? It'll be September so we have first harvest, end of Summer beginning of Fall, Dog days of heat and stuff....

I just read For You, and I have to say it's true -- poetry's interpretation is different for everyone. Very powerful, I'm still not sure exactly how it makes me feel.

Very much!

I love sci fi/fantasy, and you have really created an interesting world with fascinating characters. I can't wait to see what happens next.

It is confusing...it's best if you can slow it down completely and just be content to dream together. Really though, I handed my challenges so badly I can't give coherent advice!

Let's see...maybe breaking it off with a summer fling? Or...I always feel like this time of year is when almost all of the birthdays are over, we're all settling into being another year older, some more wiser...so maybe the first birthday where we really felt like adults?

That's the beauty of poetry and honestly its rare for me to find someone on the exact page of what I meant. And that's cool. I love listening to what others get from it. It amazes me how everyone thinks so differently. Sometimes the feedback helps me to see my own work differently and I really appreciate that part of it.

I don't really write fiction or anything literary, I just like to read the stuff ya'll write. So I don't really have an opinion. Except I want more of Alex and Kiri.

That particular story was one I wrote for Arch. it's his kinks and I think how he loves to view himself. Yes he is Alex. I am a combo of the lady and Kiri her pet. Sigel speciically asked not to be included in that one LOL Didn't work and he makes a appearance later....
