I actually brought this bit up earlier in the thread. It was thought that the snakes were supposed to represent the Druids/pagans in Ireland at the time.

The story was good, the veggie tales? not so much...they kind of are religion hidden in a kid-friendly brainwashing format in my opinion, at least they were to me at the camp I was sent to as a kid.
