To celebrate the occasion, she took a moment and answered a few questions for us and you’ll find those below.
Which review was your favorite to write; why?
I think my favorite review that I have written so far has to be my Nexus iStim review. That was the first review I really put my all into. From there it got to be a little bit easier.
What was your least favorite review to write; why?
I don't have a least favorite review that I have written. Even if I did not enjoy something I would still give my honest opinion on it and add everything to it that is supposed to be added. Sometimes things will work out and sometimes they don't.
Is there a reviewing style (or reviewer in particular) you admire; why?
I admire too many people to name but they know who they are because I keep in contact with them mostly every day and I get alerts for a lot of people reviews. Everyone has their own experience with toys, lingerie and bath and body products. They all have their own techniques and little quirky titles that they use. These really catch my eye. I will always look to all the people I keep up with before I get anything for myself. Reviews really do help out.
Did you have mentor, who was it? Additionally, are you currently a mentor; what do you love about it?
Yes after my first couple of reviews did not go over so well. I took advice from the community and joined the Mentor program. My first Mentor was Miss Nessa. I had tried to contact a couple of other people but they were busy or not doing it at that time. She was the one who helped me out writing my first toy reviews. She was wonderful and understanding when it came to the questions I had and what needed to be in my reviews.
My second Mentor was js250 aka Steff. She helped me with my Corsets reviews. Even though I already went thru the Mentor program when it came to lingerie I needed to learn what was needed for those. She was patient with me and answered every single question I had. I really appreciate that a lot because I can tend to ask a lot until I know I get it.
It took me a long time before I decided to do Mentoring myself but I am a Mentor now. I thought it was going to be a pain in the butt but it really is not as long as you have students who will listen to you. So far I have not had any problems and I have told them what to look for in the reviews and to check out mine to have something to follow. It makes it easier if they can see what to look for in others reviews but to use their own words of course. I am glad I did decide to do it because now I can help others who started out just like me.
Is there a particular brand you favor more than others; why?
I can honestly say a couple of months ago I never had a favorite brand but looking on today I have noticed that Coquette seems to be the line that I choose from the most. They have some beautiful lingerie items. The only thing that makes me made with them is their sizing can be wacky sometimes but I think I am falling in love with them and so are my drawers.
If you could go back and rewrite a review, which one would it be?
I would go back and redo my Hearts Wand review that one did not work out so well and I had used something similar to that product that I got from some where else but now the site offers the other toy that I have similar to it. When I saw the feedback on it I was a little upset but hey I was just learning and did not know any better.
How long have you been writing reviews for Eden and how did you become interested in reviewing?
I have been doing reviews for Eden for about a year and a half now almost two. I started in December of 2011. A friend had introduced me to this site I had signed up and was looking around and doing a lot of reading before I had even attempted to try reviewing. It was nice to read reviews from people and lust over stuff I knew back then that I could never afford. Finally I worked up the nerve to start doing my own.
Is there a toy you've been itching to review; what is it?
Yes there is, there are actually a lot of them that I have been itching to review. One of them is actually my Milestone review. I have been lusting after the Leaf line for the longest time. I actually wanted to try the Bloom out. I was excited when I got to get it. One thing I don't have is too many rechargeable toys. I have one other and it is the Freestyle vibe. I will review that one of these days.
What do you think your greatest Eden-related accomplishment (outside of hitting the milestone itself) is?
My greatest accomplishment is what I have learned a long the way. All the wonderful people I have met and who have helped me get to where I am at today. If I had never decided to check this site out on some down and bored time I would have never known about all the wonderful opportunity's. I have told friends and some family members about this site and some of them have joined and they think it is wonderful. Sometimes it can get a little crazy on the forums at times but most of the time it is a peaceful place to be. I would not change it for the world. I just hope the site is around for a long time to come.
