Several members of the porn club have run in to difficulty this month due to one of the movies shipping in the Blu-Ray format only. I was kind of surprised by how many people have stated that they did not have Blu-Ray player yet. So it makes me wonder about the overall Blu-Ray market.

So, my simple question is: Do you own a Blu-Ray Player?

I'd like to get one eventually, but it hasn't been a huge priority for us right now.

I do not own a blu-ray player nor do I ever intend on owning a blu-ray player until the DVD becomes 100% obsolete.

I have an Xbox 360 elite that we use as a DVD player and a hi-def television. Porn is not something that should be hi-def, just sayin.

I have a PS3 and that has a Blu-Ray Player in it, if I didn't I'd be in the same boat as others


Anyway, gotta respectfully disagree with Audra Lynn. I like the porn is shot in HD, if there are imperfections in the stars, then that reminds us that they are human. If someone has a scar then so be it

Viktor, darlin', there isn't anything you DON'T like about porn. Your ratings and opinions for movies are always way way higher than most of the people in the club so I'm officially dubbing you biased (in the most playful of ways and utmost respect).

A few imperfections are nice, really. But when I can see every single detail, I find myself thinking why won't they get that fixed??? Especially when it comes to moles. I'm all like oooh that could be cancerous, someone find her a dermatologist. It's very distracting for me.

I'll admit that when it comes to real life I am not at all shallow but in porn...yeah just a wee bit.

I got the PS3 when it was still backwards compatible. I have had it for almost 3 years, and only have 2 blue ray movies. how sad. but I don't think porn should be in HD. I don't want to see every tiny hair follicle and ingrown hair on a guy's butt. it takes away from the porn experience.

The problem is that if porn isn't in HD and viewed on an HDTV, the image is absolutely horrible. I can't watch sports on non-HD channels because I feel like I need prescription glasses due to the blurriness.

Since we got netflix and stream it through the xbox, we didn't get cable tv. if the quality drops below three bars, I can't stand to watch the show. some things absolutely must be in hd, like graphically intense movies (day after tomarrow comes to mind) other stuff, I can tolerate in regular definition on a smaller screen, like porn.

dvd is ok for now.blu-ray is a very low priority.

I do have a qualification to my vote though.

I do own a Blu-Ray player, but I typically don't use it for porn, simply because porn in 1080p just looks bad. It's bad enough that my Blu-Ray player up-converts DVDs to be in a higher definition.

I tend to watch porn on my laptop so that I don't alert the neighbors as to what I'm doing at 3pm in the afternoon.

I use the PS3 for Blu Ray. Maybe I'm oblivious or maybe it's because my TV is several years old but I don't notice a difference in HD and regular DVD's.

I will. I love visually striking movies, (just ask my netflix) However I do not feel the need to see every detail in everything that I watch. I enjoy the distinction between fantasy and real life.

I certainly understand everyone that says Blu-Ray is not a priority for them. I had no intention of getting one until my old TV blew up. Since I needed to replace the TV, I went ahead and upgraded to Blu-Ray for a few dollars more. I am glad that I did. The HD porn looks incredible!

I have no intentions of ever getting a Blu-ray player!
I'm happy with what I have. I'm not really into all the electronical stuff. I have a simple DVD player and what most people call a small HDTV and I'm satisfied.
