Have you been by this thread?

Also, I have written in my "about me" that I'm always open to constructive criticism and questions, so hopefully that lets people know that I'm eager to hear ways to improve. You could try the same

I think pretty much any mentor or advanced reviewer would be happy to give you feedback, but honestly you would have to ask for it. There are just so many new reviewers every day that it is near impossible to read and comment on every review like we used to. If there is a reviewer you really relate to, I would reach out to them. This is a very generous and caring community.

Any thoughts on the product/material preferences form?

Sadly they cant change what other people write on your wall. I know it is annoying and frustrating sometimes.

Ouf---hard to respond to feedback on a single review, isn't it?

I loved when I found out you had it. Well done, well implemented, thanks for thinking of it. It helps a lot for those of us with sensitive skin.

Do you have any suggests for the review/mentor/video/DR programs?

We're always looking for ideas to improve the site!
i think they're all pretty awesome.

only thing i might suggest though i don't know how to go about it, is some kind of training for mentors.

folks can get a high enough rank to mentor without actually writing consistently good reviews. and i went through 4 mentors myself but didnt honestly get a whole lot out of the program but from 2 of the 4. some mentors don't even edit your work or give feedback, but simply straight publish them.

I mean, the clothes I had been wearing might be in the laundry already, not to mention it would be a lot of editing work.

I love your threads with products that need reviews, keep doing them. It is really hard nowadays, with all the new lingerie, to find something to request without going through tons of pages. The "Without reviews" option does not always work to good when there is only one review on a product.

That's because at least with me, you didn't need a mentor. You were already writing great reviews.

The next time we get a huge push of products in to review, I can do it. It's handy, but it's also a balancing act. The more products I push, the fewer there are for people to request. So, I usually give it a few days before I start "hard pushing" products to review

i know this is like training for mentors but... couldn't we be more selective about the mentor program? like the advanced reviewer program, there also needs to be some qualifications in my mind, before one can reach that level.

ranking for mentor program isn't currently sufficient, and the voting program for AR also isnt.

Not really, but I have noticed that I do not get offered half the stuff I have checked as usable. No biggie, just thought I would mention it.

You may not be able to change a video, but you could critique it and see if the student applies your comments to their next video. That's how I judge my student and written reviews. I look to see if they apply my comments to their next review, i.e. are they learning or making the same mistakes every time. It could still work.

yes but you were one of the very most helpful.

i even had a reviewer who i would send a DRAFT to and note that it was a draft... 'hey i still want to add XY and Z to this so let me know what you think and send it back'

and they straight published them. twice. so i got bad ratings. and had to rush and complete it before more folks could think i was a sloppy reviewer... sigh.

i have friends who've reported mentors doing the same. straight publishing reviews, no feedback, no message, nothing.

of course there will be a few bad apples but some sort of standard would be ideal.

Okay, I can see that.

I know when I've taken on regular students who already have a review or two, I look through their earlier stuff and offer comments by message, so video mentoring could do some of that as well.

I had a mentor once who'd do that too, so I started submitting mine without the summary so they would HAVE to send it back with comments (because you can't publish without a summary.)

Maybe a student grading of mentor system? That way prospective students can see ow well past students felt about the mentor?

The only issue is that newer mentors usually have very few students, so any negative scores will be known exactly were they came from.
