#Workshop - Aug 24th - Mentor Program: Tips, Tricks, and To-do's

Contributor: El-Jaro El-Jaro
How many times have you said to yourself "Man, I could really use some help with this mentor/student. I've been trying to get a hold of them for 2 weeks and nothing. Who should I try to get a hold of?"

--or--

"I was assigned a product and it hasn't showed up yet!"

The next workshop will cover the whole "What to do next" idea. This will be a great resource for Mentors, Students, Reviewers, Adv. Reviewers, Off-site reviewers, trapeze artists, and people named Bob.

If you have any specific questions, go ahead and post them here. If there's anything else you'd like to discuss, I'm sure we can talk about it.

See you then!

I've been having a really hard time landing a double-lutz on my trapeze, I hope this workshop will help!

Also eager to absorb all the EF-related information.

This is going to be required reading for the workshop.

Just to let you know how serious things are around here...

LMAO! I will probably carouse in to see what's up, (whats up? Wha'ts up? LOL) but I pretty much gave up on mentoring unless I get special requests to open up. I'm sick of wasting my time on students who aren't serious.

Speaking of which, my poor illusional hasn't heard from me in a while... lol

I don't know if I will be able to attend, but I have a suggestion. I think that where the mentors put their description of the things they are interested in, and areas of specialty, they should also say how frequently they check in. I'm here multiple times a day, and it's frustrating that I've had 3 reviews sitting in the hands of my mentor for a few days now. I just want to get a move on with it already. It seems like my mentor is on once a day, if that. She commented on one of the three reviews, and that was it. And I didn't know how to do what she asked me to do, so now I have to wait another day, at least, to get an answer to that.

I've done the "required" reading and larned me a mess o' thangs.

Actually, I did learn that I've been placing the apostrophe in "y'all" in the wrong place. (Oops! Don't tell the other Texans on me.)

Sadly, I will probably still be asleep when this meeting takes place(stupid sleep disorder). I will have to come back and read it later.

I'm practicing making ranch dressing (lost art?) so everyone can bring something to dip in it and tell me what I've done wrong, and what I should do better next time.

I haven't tried their truck yet. I was just seeing what trucks were around earlier since I missed the grilled cheese one. It looks like they serve everything gourmet stylish. I don't think it's some creeper scooping large quantities out of a huge drums on to plates or anything. It also looks like there is some sort of asian taco truck there as well. A gathering of sorts.

I have... nothing. Last night I had a packet of ketchup here somewhere, but it may or may not have been eaten by me because I was starving and didn't want to pay to have food delivered to my night job lol.

I don't know if "last art" applies. Ranch has only been around since the fifties or something

That doesn't seem right... maybe Kraft came out with it in the 50's, but it seems like it would have developed a little earlier than that. Let me check out my Civil War cookbooks. Back by meetingtime!
