If it's something I would need eventually, or could always use, or something like that, then yes, but if it's something I would really need to get myself excited for, no. That isn't saving money if I won't use it or won't like it.

I don't think a free item has ever made a difference in whether or not I will make a purchase, but I do enjoy selecting one, if it's something I'd use and/or don't already have.
