are these the same just different colors, is one model older than the other or something they look very similar

I am pretty sure that they are the same and the only difference is that the come in different colors.

Tantus has a male oriented section of their site where all the toys are black or red, while other sections have toys in a variety of colors. Boss was probably the "boy" version of VIP.
