Canadian EF Users... Is there any way to avoid custom charges. They are a B!

I've rec'd packages via USPS I actually have another one that should be here on Tuesday. I'm in Toronto, Ontario and it takes about 6-7 businesses day to get to me.

For my last order I added a note in the notes section of the order requesting shipping via USPS & I also sent llya a message on EF asking to confirm that the order would go out via USPS. Just shoot Customer Service or llya a message letting them know and they'll put it through for you less

Hello everyone. We've been following this thread for a while, I'm sorry you had so many issues with UPS. I'm happy to inform you that we're bringing USPS on-board as our shipping provider for Canadian orders. We sent and monitored some test shipments with USPS and saw no issues or delays. With USPS you will also get rid of the brokerage fee, which, as you know, can be quite hefty. less

So, it appears that I cannot even contact USPS because not only do they not have an option for this problem, they require an area code and state and so on in order to even send an email to them.

So, while I am glad Eden is working on better delivery options. This is not it for me. Why order when anything I spend money on is going to go to somebody else and I can't get it back? I realize EF will reship but chances are good it'll happen again. Not impressed with USPS at all. less

Yep, had this same problem. I called customer service this morning. I was looking at my tracking and it said it was delivered in Atlanta, GA. The person I talked with said that it was delivered back to them, and that they'll reship to me. So now I'll have to wait and see when it arrives. It really only sucks because I have a review item in that package and it's going to be way overdue by the time I get it. I guess they've had a few packages shipped back to them now.

The second package I'm expecting (it was shipped on the same day), still says its sitting at customs. Tomorrow it'll be two weeks since it shipped. This is also another review item. I'm not sure if it;ll come tomorrow. I'm definitely not holding my breath... but even then, be aware that your package can take 2 weeks to get to you (maybe longer), and that's if USPS doesn't mess it up and send it back to the company. less

Oddly enough I'm more apprehensive to place orders now than I was with UPS. I mean yes, they charged me but it got here.

I order and review for other companies and they all ship USPS, but it must be a different service because the packages never take that long to get to me and I've never had one ship somewhere else. I had a mini moment of "WTF" when I checked my tracking today.

A friend of mine joked that Atlanta GA does look fairly similar to Alberta CA if people aren't paying close attention but sheesh! At least I'm not alone less

Florida sounds right. Mine go from Atlanta, GA - Miami, FL - Mississauga, ON - Toronto, ON

Also, I find that the USPS tracking system does not always update promptly so if it's still showing that it's in ATL it may take 2 or more days to update...what I find anyway less

hmm well that's weird..mine was cleared the same day it arrived at customs. Once it gets in Canada the tracking updates faster (on Canada Post). Put the tracking # into Canada Post Tracking and you may see an update from there, but packages don't usually sit at customs for a long time & 5 days is long.

I just looked on CP and it says customs clearance just like USPS does. Yeah, I thought it was a long time too. I'm hoping it arrives today, though it probably won't since it doesn't seemed to be cleared yet (or at least the tracking info doesn't say it has). That's incredible you got your package in 6 days from the time it was shipped. I'm in Ontario too so I'm not sure why it's taking longer for my package :S less
