What is the purpose of aloe in a cleanser?

The main review says that they put aloe in instead of alcohol, which really doesn't make sense to me. They tend to work against each other. I suspect that this, like most "aloe vera based" products, only has a very very small percentage (I'm guessing because I can't find a full ingredients list) of it and doesn't actually do anything.
Side note, if you're going to actually use aloe vera, get something with the highest concentration possible, no alcohol and no parabens. I use Jason's Aloe Vera Gel on my face, which has 98% aloe vera content.

I think it may have to do with sensitive skin. If someone can't handle alcohol on there skin aloe vera is more soothing and reduce the risk of redness and irration.
