Allll of it. MTV debuted five or six days before I was born. My sister, who is ten years my senior, was obsessed with all of the bands and clothes and makeup and I picked up the trends that were climbing like cabbage patch dolls and all that stuff.

I miss those years.

I am...

Just horrified by the resurgence of 80s clothes lately. It's been going on for a couple years now and, by gods, I cannot wear any of them.

At my age, I look not like I'm cool and hip and trendy but like I'm STILL WEARING THE SAME CLOTHES I DID 20 YEARS AGO. Arggggggggghhhhhhhhhhh hhhh.

Please, fashion people, please move on to something else...

Pat Benetar clothes didn't even look good the first time.

no better time to live your childhood other than the 80's. Wish I had a time machine...I'd go back right now!

The 80's for me were:
Graduation '82
First child & married '85
second child '86
third child '88
I was pretty busy.

I agree; there were some great cartoons then.
I really got into country music back then - I think I thought it was better to listen to having kids. The girls and I giggle every time we look at photos - yes, I was a fan of parachute pants! Remember the "mushroom cut" hair? I have a pic of all three of our girls (the oldest would be about 5) all with matching mushroom cut hairdo's. lol

I was a kid during the 80's so I remember the music, especially Madonna, Men At Work, the Police, U2, Pet Shop Boys etc. I had a cool aunt who always played me the new records she bought. And then the toys, Rubiks Cube, He-Man, GI Joe and Transformers. That was the 80's for me.

I loved/love the 80s! Well, I love the EARLY 80s, which for me actually started with New Wave, circa 1979. '79 to '85 was a great period of experimentation in pop music and other culture; after about '85, it all kind of descended into an over-commercialized cultural hell, and didn't become interesting again until about '91.
