Hello and welcome, everyone! We have a lot of new contributors to the community who have many questions. This is an opportunity for users old and new to catch up with the changes to the site and ask any questions they may have about the programs.

This is a live event that will be taking place on Saturday, December 21st between 12 and 2 PM EST. Yes, tomorrow.

We realize it's a really busy time of year for everyone so even if you can't attend in person, there will be lots of valuable information for you to read through at your leisure. You may also go ahead and leave your questions below for us to answer during the event tomorrow!

Question: How come i'm unable to get an approved assignment even though the item i want has no reviews at all? I've tried at least 25 times to get a free assignment, and you guys keep denying me. What's up?

Hi Stormy and thank you for the message. I will try to be at the event tomorrow. I too have a lot to do with wrapping presents
I do have a question about the assignment cart, I have 3 items in it and i
would like to request free buyout assignment.

We are moving out of the unlucky 20 "13"

Hello! You're welcome. Buy-out assignments allow a contributor to purchase an item for review at a 30% discount, but not for free. Free assignment requests can be made by advanced contributors only.

If there are multiple requests for the item, it goes to the first person who requested it. However, there are sometimes special circumstances where there is a limited stock supply or the vendor has asked the item not be reviewed at that moment (the latter rarely happens).

Sweet! Do you have any interest in doing it again? We recently relaunched the program and I always loved your reviews; I think you'd be a really great asset to the program. We're doing something a little bit different, mentors will be identified by the blue border around their avatar so you all are a little more visible. Hopefully that will encourage users to reach out to you all a little more often.

Sure, I would be interested in starting again. I guess I have missed out on quite a bit with me being missing for so long. I am excited to get back into reviewing. I'm itching to write one, lol.

Fantastic!! Just submit the request and I'll email you the rest of the application. The goal for the relaunch is to create a tightly knit group of mentors who are truly ambassadors for the site and newcomers. There's still a lot to learn even though some of the programs are on hiatus.

I'd like us to start doing more fun things on the forum -- not necessarily centered around prizes and things of that nature, but just little stuff that fosters more community interaction. If you have any ideas, I'd love to hear them.

Ok, I will submit the request.

I always loved the holiday parties. Maybe a revamp to them would work. Everyone shared their favorite holiday ideas, recipes, etc.

My favorite had to be the cooking forum, lol.

The holiday parties were a true blast. I was never sure if I had more fun putting them together or executing them. We'd need a little more participation on the forum in general before we could do something like that. This time of year is really slow in general, though.

I'm not sure what Antipova is up to these days. Last time I talked with her she was running around like a chicken with her head cut off, she was so busy with work. Perhaps she would be interested in doing something a little more modest than what we've done in the past. Of course, with or without the club, we can still share those things with each other.
