OMG Padded Mail Bags Not BOXES!

Contributor: mpfm mpfm
My Eleven arrived...in a bag. There was minimal damage to the outer cardboard packaging of the toy. It's not something I would have kept, so not a big deal to me. However it is concerning that so many products and/or their storage boxes are arriving damaged. I hope this gets addressed.

BTW...the eleven...wowza, I don't know what I was thinking.

Just got a MiMi, a Oui and another Cake Beauty package in another envelope. The MiMi is fine although the outer box is a little worse for wear around the edges and corners. Once again, the Cake Beauty box is crumpled but there were no spills this time. That was lucky since the 'gift box' it comes in wasn't bagged separately from the other items.

I just received my first padded envelope package. It was in great condition, without any damage.

In the past there have been times that my boxes were damaged. So when I placed this order (toys/lingerie), I didn't order any spillable stuff. I think I'll stick with having like items shipped together in the future as well.

The envelopes are great for items like lingerie, books, or small non-breakable items (like small silicone or plastic items in the basic plastic clamshells). Not that shipping in boxes will 100% protect your purchases, but it does help keep the wear/tear down on the products' own packaging.

I received a Fun Factory toy yesterday shipped in a bubble envelope. The edges of the toy's box were slightly worn & parts of the inside of the box (where the toy is held in place) were worn/torn from it moving around in shipment. I know that can occur in a large shipping box just as well, but I was thinking, "If I had to return this it would look used, even though it's not." I was also concerned the toy might be damaged, a pity for such an expensive toy. Luckily it's just fine

Boxes are definitely better for glass & anything liquid, less chance of the item being crushed.

Jeez.. I'm surprised to hear that they're still using bags.

A friend of mine placed a very small order the other day, consisting of just one small clitoral vibrator, and that arrived in a super-sized box. I mean, like, the toy took up less than 20% of the box, and the rest was stuffed full of that brown packing paper. I was with her when she received it and had to laugh, because this one would've actually been okay shipped in a bag.

My last order arrived in a huge box, as well.

I don't know what to think....I love buying glass but I wasn't even going to get any with the crazy Friday deal because I have no idea if they would use a bag or not. I'm not buying glass products that come in a bag and can be damaged easily. I've never had a box that was out of shape or had a tears from my ups and if I'm buying someone $100 or more with a nice case I don't want it to be damages or have to drive a few miles out of my way just to return it when the box is the only thing damaged.

This doesn't make any sense. I had an order with several items and they all came stuffed in a bag.

I read what Stormy said in the other thread by GoldenLion about packages with liquids being shipped in boxes. I had a bottle of lube with my order and it shipped in a bag (about a week after she posted that).

It did not spill or I'd ask for a replacement, but I am disappointed in the bag thing and still getting one after the issue was supposed to be fixed. I am kind of reluctant to order glass items right now because clearly the issue is not fixed.

They have changed the part in the privacy policy, it now says boxes and padded mailers, so the "bags" are here to stay.

That's my response. I'm tired of receiving damaged packaging. I shouldn't have to plan on sending back EVERY item for an exchange when my replacements will just as likely be damaged.

NOOOOOO!!!!!! Damn it. My order was in a bag today and the plastic packaging was smashed to hell. There were holes in the bag. It was the Tantus T-Rex and Vamp. Fortunately they weren't damaged. The packaging for another order was even worse off. I ordered the Miho masturbator, and the box was no longer a box, and the toy was free in the bag. Plus, the Lelo box and Jopen box were also dented in the same order. Needless to say, I'm not a fan of the bags.

At least in my last padded package the glass dildo was in an inner padded package protecting it from the other contents and wrapped with bubble wrap inside the red velvet case it came with.

Oh my gosh! That is just unacceptable. I don't know how EF can justify this. If they don't want to ship properly then they should make the customers pay for shipping. I think most of us would be willing to if it means our products come undamaged. I am very disappointed. I thought EF cared more about their customers.

I just ordered some things, and now I'm worried about the packaging. I didn't realize it would be like this.

Take pictures of the packaging - how it arrives, what your items' boxes look like, and if there is damage to the items, take pictures of that too. Send it to customer service every single time. If needed, send the pics to Fred too. His email is on his profile page (if it is correct). Actions speak louder than words.

I have gotten 3 orders in the "bags" one bag came with a small hole an the product box inside was pretty smashed, the 2nd one was a small bullet and that package came in fine as well as my 3rd one which contained FiFi and a few free items. My 4th order came in a box which was the Vixskin GoodFella

Hey Eden,
I thought about making a new post but then thought I'd put it here.

I recently bought a Stronic Eins. Which might be the most pricey thing at this site, certainly one of the most expensive.

It came in a bubble mailer. The box the toy is packaged in, is absolutely destroyed. Smashed, flattened, dented, dinged...you name it.

I find this completely unacceptable for this product. I am waiting to see if the toy works. I wouldn't be surprised if there more and more arrive non-working due to the rough handling we all know packages go through, if this is how Eden packages their stuff. These things have motors and parts...why are they being packaged like it's a box of paper clips or something?

You would think a $200 toy would warrant a box, but I guess putting a box in a bag makes more sense??????? It won't crush at all?

Anyway I just wanted to vent, I'm really peeved my NEW (and super expensive) toy arrived looking crushed all to crap.

I have made several purchases in the past few months and if you do not get lube in the order it's always in plastic bubble packages. I have not as yet have any broken or crushed items...but still concerned that in the future I might. I liked the boxes as well. Seems more secure especially for fragile items and expensive items. Guess if you want a box you better order some lube with your order now?

I've gotten several glass toys in the past couple of weeks. They're SSA glass, so I was worried since they don't have boxes. To my surprise, both times they were wrapped in both an additional padded bag and in bubble wrap - no damage at all! In contrast, a package arrived for me from Amazon today entirely crushed despite being in a box. I think carriers are more careful with padded envelopes, so I don't mind them.

Here to report on the bag vs. box issue, I ordered three glass toys and added one of the free vibes.
It did, indeed, come in a bubble mailer...but the glass toys were wrapped securely in a second bubble mailer (thank you shipping department...that was actually really considerate of you guys to give them their own separate inner bubble mailer. ^_^ )contained within the outer one (the vibe was just in the outer one along with the receipt).

Not a chip or scratch to be had, and as per usual with SSA glass, each toy was tucked neatly into it's own thin bubble wrap sheet and slid into the velvet-like pouch.

I just came back from a 2-3 year hiatus and now I'm scared reading all these posts. I ordered a dildo that I think has a plastic clamshell but the thing I'm most worried is that, if it comes in a bag, can someone easily NOTICE that it's phallic shaped? Because I live with my parents and they're the first ones that get the mail. I ordered "gift wrap" as well, so is it going to come in a box if I picked "gift wrap"? I'm really scared now, I would hate for my parents to suspect anything, I would never live it down. It's going to be delivered tomorrow so there's nothing I can do but hope for the best but can someone let me know if the dildo can be felt through the bag? OMG, I'm starting to wish I never ordered from EF. Why did they have to change things? Items used to come in boxes! Ugh.

Let me put your fears at ease. It's a non-disclosed, white padded envelope that will arrive, with no identifying markings. Your actual product will then have it's own manufacturers packaging that it will be in as well. There will be no way for anyone to know what the contents are of your package

I've never picked the 'gift wrap' option so it's possible this could actually come in a box rather than a padded envelope for shipping. This way your gift wrapping stays nicer. Not 100% sure on this part.

Hope this helps. Welcome Back!!

The manufacturer packaging is a plastic clamshell and it's very clearly dildo/penis and balls shaped so I'm very worried that someone holding the envelope/bag might know what it is just by the shape alone if it is a flimsy thin bag or something. I really hope that having picked gift wrap that it does come in a box. I only picked the gift wrap option to add an extra layer of something, not sure what I was thinking, just an extra layer just in case because I know my parents always get the mail first before I do. I recently saw someone's photos of the gift wrap and it looked like it was on the outside of the box which didn't make sense to me, it looks like it might attract more attention when I just wanted to be discreet (I thought the gift wrap would be on the inside of the box).

Well my package arrives tomorrow and I'm very sure my parent will be the first one to get the mail so I just have to hope and pray that they don't suspect a thing. I've ordered from EF before but the package always arrived discreetly in a box. The whole bubble mailer/thin flimsy bag thing has me worried. Hopefully everything goes alright. I'll update when I get my package, thanks though!

I hope you saw Mr. E's post on his experience. It sounds like it should be OK. If your parents get curious or happen to know what it is, if it were me, I would say, "Ugh, you know that crazy (insert wildest friends name) is always up to no good. I can always count on her for some awesome humiliation!". Lol. Just turn it into a joke

It just dawn on me after readying your post, the same happened to us. The Eden Bendable Buddy came in a clam shell and plain envelope. I guess it's a good thing it does not have balls !

Maybe the next time your order request the item to be sent in a box. Perhaps a ticket to cs in advance or something.

Agreed, but name a "friend" that you aren't too close to. This way, should something go awry, it will take them a minute to remember that person.

Also, I'm thinking the package should come from either a shell corporation or a DBA, Doing Business As, corporation. I feel as if it should come from Web Merchants instead of coming from Eden Fantasies.
