I like it. Yay!

Hmm.. I don't know if it's working. I got several things on the first page that already had reviews (and yes I did choose "without reviews" on the drop-down).

I'm having the same problem. I hadn't checked that the first time I looked at it, but I'm getting stuff with reviews too.

It's the color thing. All the different colors of a product are showing up -- this was mentioned in the email. That's kind of a big problem... renders the search a bit useless at this point.

If you're wanting ideas for improvement, I really don't like the huge long category list. What if I want to search all vibrators, not just G-spot vibrators? I personally would rather see generic categories than extremely specific ones, or just a way to choose bigger categories within the drop-down.

In the product search you see products and product variations which do not have reviews.

However other product variations that are not included in the list but shown on product page may have reviews since we have one product page for all variations.

We will correct the list appropriately you will not see any products with reviews regardless the product variations when filter "without reviews" is selected. More general categories will be also added.

So does this search for products with no reviews, or only those without verified reviews?

Good idea, needs work. I don't think it's even usable right now.

I like the specific categories a lot. I think the option to choose more generic ones would be useful, though, too.

What about, for categories of toys, a check mark/select all that apply system the way that Eden has for much of the site?

For example, if I want to search all vaginal exercisers and all BDSM equipment, I would check those boxes and search, using my contributor preferences to weed out any vaginal exercisers made of jelly (of which there are probably not that many, as it would kind of defeat the point!).

I am curious about new sex toys and related products, however: will all new items be pre-reviewed under the "Descriptions" program? Does this render them un-reviewable by advanced reviewers?

Yeah, I know Bulma reviewed the SaSi, but I'm pretty sure she reviewed the purple version. The ones on my search results are the pink and the black (the one I want!).

Beyond the color/size/etcetera discrepancies, I like the new search!

Very nice, though I'm looking forward to the future tweakings...some really great suggestions on here already, so I'll just say that I'm glad to see this added

I'm noticing that the search doesn't seem to take "contributor item preferences" into account. For example, I do not have "cock rings" or the like checked off, however when I use the contributor search, many cock rings are returned.

Please select product preference "Contributor's" and it should work. We will simplify the interface in a few days.

I was selecting "Contributor's", yes. Some of the cock rings appear to have gone away when I ran a search just now, but there are still some wildcards (like penis pumps).

Don't get me wrong, this is much more convenient than trawling the site endlessly for a toy without a review. It just needs a little tweaking

Is there anyway to also filter out toys that Edens will not send out for review? I was pretty disappointed when I requested one a while back that had no verifieds but was told it wasn't an item that was going to be sent out for review.

Ooh, very nice!

The only thing I'd add, really, would be the option to stop out-of-stock products from coming up.

I went through and was about to request an assignment that was .99 cents over the price limit (because of size differences) and it wouldn't accept it. Same item, different size, .99 cents more - no deal. What gives?

If it's over the price limit, it won't let you. If you email an admin, they may still approve it.

I also went through your reviews. Looks like your last one was submitted on October 20th, you have to wait 30 days after your last verified was posted. So you'd be able to request again on November 19 (tomorrow).

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, this is just what I remember reading.

We have added an option to filter out all out of stock products in the product search, let me know if there is anything else we can do.

Here's one of the FAQ, under Support, Contributor Tab:

I have sent you a review and it as been approved. When do I get my next toy?

Products ordered for reviewers once a week, or even once every two weeks, so it can take up to two weeks before your next item is shipped to you, plus delivery time. No, we cannot speed up that process, sorry. Moreover, if you request to review a product that is out of stock or on back order, it can take significantly longer.

I was able to request another item for review the day after my verified review was published - I just chose to buy out an assignment instead for something I particularly wanted to try out of my price range.

Well. I was told, directly from an administrator, that the waiting time was 30 days. This was changed during the overhaul in the summer. Can someone clarify this??

There is no waiting time limit on buy-out assignments, and they do not affect the waiting time on your regular monthly requested "free" assignments. The waiting time is 30 days for the "free" assignments.

Yeah, I knew that about the buyout versus free.

I think Happy Lady was saying that we can get Free assignments more frequently. Thanks for the response Miss Cinnamon.

And I was agreeing with you! =D

I thought that Happy Lady was saying that we can get "verified" assignments more frequently. Perhaps she had just turned in a review for a Free assignment and then requested a buyout assignment right after. This would explain her not needing to wait the 30 days--she isn't breaking any "laws of EF" because she didn't get a free assignment, it was a buyout assignment.

Probably there is no confusion and all and I'm just being redundant

I gotta say though, I am definitely loving EF more and more!

Sorry for the confusion all.

I just meant that the only written rule I saw about the free assignment was the one I posted AND that I was able to get a buyout without having to wait. I failed to state that my point was that the rules don't match what has been stated to reviewers.

I know EF is busy with lots of changes, but it would be really nice to see what the review programs rules are spelled out like ... 1. You have to get approved 2. Pick a toy, here are the price ranges (because I noticed there are 2 differing price range informative bits) 3. Here's the timeline, etc.

??? The rules don't match? I'm confused... Do you mean that because you were able to get the buyout without waiting that the rule about free assignments doesn't apply? The FAQ section definitely does need some updating though... EF has gone through a lot of changes!

I know what you mean about spelling things out. I've introduced many friends to the EF review program. Even though I reminded them to read ALL the rules and guidelines before starting to review, I've had one friend who totally didn't get it and wrote two customer reviews instead!!! Now I feel an obligation to sit down at a computer with each person that I've introduced to EF to show them where the info's all at. It does take a while to find everything, and I agree that it should be a little clearer and definitely more up-to-date.

The "30 days from the date your free product review is published" waiting period isn't actually written anywhere on EF (that I could find - and I have looked and looked.) The only place I've seen it is here in the forums. This is not what the FAQ says. It basically says once your review is published you'll wait about 2 weeks for your next free product. (At least that's how I read it.) That's what I mean by " the rules don't match."

Also, you cannot request your free product if you have a buyout product waiting on an assignment, as mentioned by Betty on another forum post. This makes sense to a point, but again, isn't written anywhere by EF - just mentioned in forums.
