Males: Can You Orgasm During Sex?

Contributor: Kayla Kayla
I was a bit curious on this one. I saw a "Q&A" on another blog that said that the woman was having problems with her man not being able to orgasm during intercourse.

So I guess my question is: Males - Can you Orgasm During Sex? Easily? With Difficulty? Not at all?

I'd love to hear some possible reasons behind lack of orgasm during intercourse too. I'd have a feeling it would have to do with certain areas not being stimulated, but I'm curious now.

Some times it takes longer than she likes, some times it is too soon, but always orgasm in the end.

I have always worked to get her off first so this may be why I can take so long, lately when she is done and wants me to finish I will have her put a plug/Prostate massager in me and then it does not take but a few minuets to finish.

She does not do any Kegal exercises, so that may play a part as well. Sometimes I think if it was a bit tighter that would help a bunch.

I have never heard of a guy not being able to finish, how interesting.

As I've gotten older, I have noticed that it can take more effort than it used to. However, I have not had any issues with being able to orgasm. The one time it was an issue was after my wife had a natural delivery. Let's just say, things were a bit stretched out and I was not feeling it, literally.

Just had a thought, are they referring to an orgasm with out ejaculation?

No, I think they're just referring to regular orgasm with ejaculation.

I answered for my man - he has no problems with it. And while I've never been with a man that has this problem, I do know one.

A friend of mine dated a mutual friend of ours that has *never* been able to ejaculate from sex. Ever. He enjoys sex, and is psychologically and physically healthy (no abuse, no trauma, etc.), and is of average size. But for whatever reason, stimulation from vaginal sex is not enough to get him off. And he can reach orgasm without a problem from masturbation, manual stimulation from a partner, or oral. There's really no explanation for it in his case.

I voted yes with no problem.. however I should point out that I usually take a while, and on a few occasions that was too long for the wife, so it got a tad frustrating.. although lately with the We-Vibe and some other toys, it's been too easy A great deal of the time I've been able to orgasm more than once as I can control it well enough to have small climaxes before the big finish, which she loves

I've been with one man who took a very long time to come. He said that it also took him a long time to fall asleep. He told me that his brother comes fast and falls asleep fast too.

He thought it had to do with wanting to be in control and having a problem with that moment of feeling like you're not in control during an orgasm.

My husband has never had a problem. But there could be any number of reasons that a man might not be able to orgasm. Could be physiological and/or psychological.

Not usually. If I'm tired then maybe, but other than that there really isn't a problem now. At first there was a bit more problems (I had never had sex before and was trying to get everything down and worrying about it), but now it's not a problem.

I had trouble in the car one time since I was in an awkward position, however I loved it since I lasted longer for my girlfriend.

As a young man I would have answered 'no problem' - but since getting older it can sometimes take more effort - so I voted yes - with some difficulty.

that's a very interesting observation about the link between taking a long time to orgasm and fall asleep.. I also take a long time to fall asleep, at least 1/2 hour to an hour.. it's quite annoying.

With me I have no problem orgasming right away, or more like within the first 15 minutes, but if I work to make it last longer, then I get a bit desensitized and it takes a lot more concentration to have an orgasm. It just really depends on whether it's going to be a quickie, or a marathon haha.

We're in our mid 20's and my partner will usually orgasm from sex without any problem. He controls his orgasms very well.

However, there are times that he doesn't orgasm, due to loss of erection bcs he has had a long day. It's very rare but it can happen.

I vote for my hubby. Because, of course, after all these years I'm pretty sure I would know the answer to that.

My husband doesn't have a problem climaxing during sex. He does a fine job controlling it until I am sufficiently satisfied and that is no easy task because I can be insatiable. The only times I think he has trouble is if he has already climaxed and he gets a second-wind hard-on within a few minutes.

My husband doesn't have a problem cumming. I like to think that it's my fault ;-)

The only time I've had trouble is when using a climax-control condom.

I can do it just fine. I wouldn't say it's difficult, but it is a little harder.

Depends on how regularly I'm having sex. If I'm getting it on the regular, it can be pretty difficult for me. The problem is that I have a lot of stamina, and my girlfriend gets sore, so I don't really have a problem orgasming so much as I have a problem doing it quickly. But if I've been drinking? Forget about it. Pretty much not going to happen.

It takes longer that it used to, but, no, I don't have any problems (except when I've had a bit too much alcohol).

Answering for my b/f. He doesn't usually have a problem with orgasm during sex but, if he is very tired, he just doesn't start anything.

My b/f flies across the country too often and it seems his body clock is always off.

I didn't vote because I'm not male, and I don't know why my boyfriend sometimes doesn't finish. He finds me just as attractive as ever, but he's six years older than I am, and he's nearing thirty (sorry if that makes anyone here "feel old") and I've read that a man's physical stamina drops a bit around then.

I can even ejaculate without the orgasm so I can keep going and think of it as sloppy seconds.
