You aren't the only one!! My bf usually has to help me stay up if we are in the shower. I'm sure there is some scientific reasoning behind it, but you get used to it after a while. The one tip I have: be careful if you are both a little tipsy, lol.

would not know since i can't have an orgasm when standing up... i have to be laying or sitting or whatever position but not standing up on my legs...

I cannot for the life of me get off while standing up-- and not for lack of trying! That said, are you sure it was the standing up that did it? I often get light-headed when I orgasm in the bath/shower, and I've found that drinking a glass of water beforehand helps.

I've never had an orgasm while standing up. I've tried in the shower but just ended up down on my knees. My partner can do it and I don't understand how.

I have hard time orgasming in the standing position which makes quickies under the shower rare. Doesn't matter whether I use water pressure or a vibe. If I decide to do it the orgasm is pretty good and drawn out but I usually end up with sore thighs the next day.

This is why I usually can't masturbate in the shower. I get SOOO dizzy. Standing straight up in general after an orgasm, but I get so much more dizzy in the shower.

After reading this thread I had to try this. The first time I wasn't ready for the effects and I just collapsed. Embarrasing!! I tried it again the next day and I was determined to stay standing. I managed it but it was a close thing. My legs shook and all the strength drained out. weak as a kitten! I have to admit it was fun though. I will be adding this to my regular ways of having an orgasm by myself.

This has happened to me...I can stay standing, but a nice alternative that I have found (just to be safe!) is to kneel. It's like standing, only you're on your knees, so it's much less of a fall if you do topple over.
