I never heard my mom and dad have sex. However, I definitely heard my mom and stepdad having sex frequently. My mom was, shall we say, rather vociferous, and you could hear it through the entire house whenever they had sex. Usually, it made my sister and uncomfortable, but that's it.
The one time it went beyond uncomfortable was in high school when I had a female friend over who I was trying really hard to like me as more than a friend. It was New Year's Eve, and it looked like things were starting to go my way. She was giving me looks and saying things that made me think things were about to change for the better, when we started to hear a thumping coming from upstairs. Then we heard moaning (LOUD moaning). Then we started hearing some loud, nasty, dirty talk. I was positively mortified, and to make matters worse, never again did my female friend ever show me the slightest bit of romantic interest.
To this day, I think my mom did that on purpose.

Once I finally made the connection that the locked door, both parents being happier the next day and 'the talk' all went together, I've been glad when my parents have sex. I mean, good for them! Plus they're so much nicer afterwords, I'll go so far as to fend off my little brother from bothering them.

Lol, my mom and stepfather always fight and work alternating work schedules, so they never really meshed well.
I did however discover a messily hidden Fleshlight of my stepfather's when I went searching for my H.S. diploma. I had no idea what it was, but I was like "Huh, weird tube with weird gunk in it, with plastic over it? I was like OMG IT'S FUCKING FLESHLIGHT."
I threw it back in the drawer and bleached my hands, LOL.

I've never heard them in the middle of sex, thank god. I think I would have been scarred if I were a kid. But I have walked into the bedroom when I was little and they were getting started. I was confused as a kid and felt uncomfortable, though I didn't understand. But they didn't get upset or even flustered so I forgot it soon after.

My parents had (and still have) a pretty healthy sex life. I never saw them doing it, but my brothers and I often heard it.
At first I didn't know what to make of it. We usually kept near the living and cranked up the tv whenever we realized what was going on.
But now I actually quite grateful that they set such a good example for us. My Dad always treated my Mom with the utmost respect and adoration, and he didn't hide that from us. They were the most loving parents and they taught us to be the same. That said, they also showed us that while it is good to proud of your love, it is also good to respect sex as something sacred between two people, and not to cheapen it by saying and doing things that may mean little.

Nope, thankfully got through my entire upbringing without hearing anything. And now I give my mom lube samples I don't need, hah. I also gave her the free EF bullet I got with my recent order since I already have enough bullets myself. Pretty sure it's her first toy ever, which is cute somehow. I definitely still don't want to hear it, but now that I'm an adult it's not nearly as creepy a thought as it would have been in the past.

I didn't know or understand what i was hearing all those years ago, but I had to sleep with the door open when little due to having night terrors and waking up screaming, but now all these years later that i know, it makes me shiver cause it's just so hard to see my dad that way, especially since I was raised where sex is a taboo subject and i'm not allowed to have it in the house. I'm not even allowed to be alone with a guy in the house. But that's a whole different other story.

I never actually overheard anything, but I caught my father and his girlfriends more than once, interrupted my mom and her boyfriend once, and accidentally walked in on my mom's boyfriend jerking off and watching porn once. My parents split when I was a toddler. My mother was "seemingly" celibate and has been for the last 27 years. Though, I'm fairly certain she had a gentleman caller the nights I stayed over with friends. She's about as asexual as they come due to intense PTSD.
