Why not? It might be a little messier, but it's worth the trouble not to have to give up sex for a week

awww I know a few guys who don't like the idea of seeing blood on their penis. Luckily I also know a lot who can be aware that it's not their blood - heck, it's not even "normal" blood (it doesn't clot) - and get over it.

Crazy as it sounds, it was actually my boyfriend who convinced ME that period sex was ok! I was totally squicked by the thought of getting menstrual blood on him and maybe on the sheets and all. Through gentle persuasion, he got me to realize that... it's harmless. You put down an old towel just in case, change condoms if you get grossed out, and proceed as usual. He reassured me that it feels good for him, since I'm even tighter than usual, and that it's good for me, since it helps with cramps. Now? We don't think twice about it. As long as I'm feeling up to having sex at all, we do it, menstruating or not.

Can't say that I've done it, but would definitely be open to trying it out. And why fuss with the mess... just take it to the shower!

I do not care whether a person is on their time of the month or not.

We do it in the shower and just... try not to look down.

Same here. Took my husband a long time but as long as it's light I'm o.k. with it.

We just put down a towel (or the throe). It may sound gross, but sometimes it feels better because it's like there extra, pre-warmed lube. If I wear my Diva Cup or am having a really light day, my husband doesn't even mind going down on me. We're not squicked out by the blood at all.

I agree with that. I actually love the taste of blood, and what better place to have it than out of her...well, you understand. Sometimes the texture of blood is a bit odd for lubricant, so it makes it feel different from how it would feel when the person is not on their period.

you know i'm not a fan of blood but i'm also not one to stare at my boyfriends junk while he screws me. I'm the one who is more wierded out by it, and i just don't look down and everything is ok. We just don't have sex on the days that my period is heavy, and then i find it easy to ignore a little blood on my lighter days.

We usually don't, to avoid the mess, but we have done period sex more than once.
Conceptually, I find the cunnilingus a bit icky, but I'm not really going to complain if he does it. I guess you've got to earn your red wings eventually. lol

My answer is, if it's light and I can talk my hubby into it.

Warning TMI!!!

For some reason, even though I'm in menopause, this past year I have my "friend" most of the month, every month. So if I don't have it during, I'm hardly going to get it at all.

All I can say is, Thank goodness for the Liberator Throe.

This is an interesting post, simply because a period can completely get in the way.

We have found that perhaps just some clitoral stimulation might do the trick with a finger or vibrator. As far as intercourse, we have never attempted that.

I enjoy it as sex also relieves my cramps. Yes, we use a throe and kinda ignore it. My b/f doesn't give me oral during my period, which suits me fine. Says he is not a vampire and neither am I.

We also call that "Getting your Red Wings"...

What's the name of the Detroit hockey team, again...uh huh...

We don't because it is just too painful for me, and because the bleeding is just way too heavy. Once I am past my 1st or 2nd day we will try, but again...it is just too painful usually.

Often time she is really horny when on her period, so not doing it then would be a shame. As for me, I don't mind one bit, nothing a quick after shower won't fix.

I am totally all for it, as long as I'm not in too much pain. I've got endometriosis, so that can hinder things a bit. Now as far as the man goes, he doesn't like it, and tries to stay away from me, but I have snuck a few times in, and it's resulted in him going, "I didn't expect to slaughter a small animal". He says now that we're married, it doesn't bother him to go without it for the 4-5 days. My previous boyfriend said that it didn't bother him at all, and every man should earn their red badge at least once or twice.

I prefer not to because it hurts my cervix, but if J really wants to, we'll do it. Usually he doesn't though, because of the mess.

We usually don't have sex on the second day of my period, when it's at its heaviest and I'm in the most pain, but that's mainly because of the pain factor, and only somewhat because of the sheer amount of blood and fetus-sized clots I often pass. Other than that, we're game for period sex. In fact, we both lost our virginity (to each other) while I was on my period!

It helps that I prep by using my detachable shower head to kind of rinse the girly bits out, and we put down a towel during sex, and rush off to the shower right afterward!

My fiance loves the lubricant factor of my period, and he actually says that the temperature of everything down there feels warmer and that combined with wetter feels amazing for him.

The fist time she "started" during sex and wasn't until we were done that we noticed. Since then we will if she feels up to it. We have a old red flannel shirt that we use or just have shower sex. Helps with her cramps and I can thrust deeper, plus she gets off more easily.

I find its generally my horniest week of the month (possibly because of the birth control pills?) so we leave towels about and take a lot of showers together.

I would - but I think my wife appreciates a week-off. I don't mind taking the week off either. She comes back ready to have some fun - seems we're both recharged. Getting older I guess!

I've heard being extra horny on your period is pretty common

I let her make the first move and call the shots, but if she wants to we have sex. Bit messy, but not too bad.

We don't tend to do it on very heavy days, and we avoid penetration generally (we tend to do it with a tampon in) and yeah.
