I have different playlists for what kind of sex I feel like having. Like if I feel really hardcore I listen to stuff like Angelspit and Nine Inch Nails, but if I feel more light a fuzzy I listen to ATB or Junkie XL.

I have found music and sex an extremely awkward combination in this relationship. I feel like I'm dancing and it makes me feel silly--and I can't dance in front of my partner unless I've had a lot to drink (I do like to dance, though!). Our primary way of playing music is through media players on our computers and we don't usually make lists, so there are some weird things that could come on. 1970s anime music, for example?! I have tried Futurepop (a branch of electronic music), and I recall a time when Loreena McKennitt was playing.

We've had a longstanding joke since high school about doing it to the beat of Enter Sandman by Metallica, but haven't managed to yet. Normally the music that's on in the background is whatever the Weather Channel happens to be playing, lol

I find it too distracting most times. We tried to have sex while listening to a Rodney Carrington CD once about 10 yrs ago. Just couldn't do it. Certain instrumental stuff might work. Been meaning to try some old Teddy Pendergrass/Marvin Gay/Barry White stuff and see how it works out. We do have a few songs that seem to get her in the mood, but they are more for the foreplay period.

Oh I love music during sex. It started out with us in the dorm rooms needing to hide behind the noise. And at first it was this sexy latin instrumental. And we've tried other things too. If you want a good fuck and not emotional love-making, hard rock or alternative rock is the best. And good sensual music is something like Enigma's "LSD: Love Sensuality Devotion" CD.

I don't like having sex when music is playing. My Man is a musician (as am I) and he'll start doing stuff to the beat. VERY annoying. I also can't concentrate when ANYTHING is going on, other than US. The hum of the vibe, the White Noise machine and the humidifier are the only sounds I can stand.
