A number of men I have been with have mentioned to me that I am the first woman they have met who prefers being the big spoon. None of them ever said it in a negative way, in fact, they all seemed to think it was awesome that I like being big spoon.

But it has always made me wonder, is it really that rare?

He likes to sleep on his right side and I like to sleep on my stomach, so I'll spoon him and then roll over in the middle of the night. He then rolls over and spoons me...we're equal opportunity spooners? Hahaha

Being a big girl means I'm always Big Spoon. Hate it, like I'm mommy holding a baby or some shit. And it just feels weird when the guy (who's smaller than me) cuddles against my back. I don't feel small and protected - I feel like I have a barnacle on my back. XP

Maybe I'll get to be Little Spoon in my next life ...

I like both. I suppose normally I like being the little spoon but being the big spoon is great for me as well. I guess I just naturally tend to be the smaller spoon.

Most of the time I'm the little spoon and love it but some days I'd just rather be the big spoon. I think my boyfriend is the same way, we're both pretty flexible.

I'm not big on spooning. If I had to, I'd choose little spoon. But I don't want to be touched while I'm falling asleep. It's like - don't ya have enough damn room on your side of the bed!

My husband is a lot bigger than I am. He's about 15 inches taller, but we take turns being on the outside of the "spoon." He likes to be massaged to sleep, so I am often behind him and end up hugging him from behind. He also loves to hug me from behind in bed. Either is good for me.

His being the "big spoon" is more likely to lead to sex, though. (He has a thing about my butt, he touches it and off he goes..... )

I USUALLY like being big spoon, because I tend to get a bit claustrophobic, but there are some times I just really want to be little spoon, and held! So I chose the last option. I identify as female.
