I was 20. It was really romantic and special, and it's a wonderful memory. We've been married for 4 years now, and it's fun to reminisce about it. I'm so glad I waited--when my friends were losing their virginity, it did make me feel kind of excluded and almost left-behind, like I was still a child and they were moving past me to become mature adults (looking back, I find that pretty laughable, but through the eyes of a teenager, that's what it looked like). I know my now-husband didn't appreciate having to wait several months of our relationship to have sex, but he never made me feel anything less than worth the wait

I was 13 and no, masturbation and sex toys did not cause me to be less likely to have intercourse nor did it make me want to wait. I don't regret doing it at 13 because I grew up quick. I HAD to learn everything the hard way and I do mean the HARD way in some cases. I don't think it was right at all! I don't think I was ready by far. A 13 year old is still a baby and I should've waited, but I am lucky to have learned from doing those things. I learned real quick to be responsible in every part of my life. I would never encourage a 13 yr old to have sex, but it does happen and let's face it, masturbation does not change that.

21 years, 7 months and 25 days...but who was counting? I was very shy in high school and had the same trouble in college. Several people (including my parents, I think) were thinking I was gay...but intense shyness coupled with nerdiness makes for a very late bloomer in the Midwest!

I was 7 days shy of my 16th birthday. (Or it might've been my 17th...I really don't remember. *laughs*)

It wasn't anything special; there wasn't any foreplay, I was nervous and it hurt. Thankfully, it got better after that...especially once I started sleeping with other people.

Shyness+ nerdiness can do that anywhere. Add in some social awkwardness and it can equal late '20s like it did with me.

Don't regret it at all, though - I had plenty of fun with myself before, and I found the right person who I will hopefully spend the rest of my life with.

Never. I'm 23, I'm waiting for the right 'time' as I have found the right person. I'm ready when I'm ready, there's no rush. My friends have long lost theirs, and they're regretting it. I'm the 'smart one' of the group. Hah.
