I agree with this but I put off as in they are off of us. I am sure they end up on the floor at some point since I am not still and we change positions a lot.

It depends on what time of year we're talking about...when it's super cold in mid-December, we keep the covers on and pulled up as high as we can! But, mid-July when it's 100 degrees outside, the covers are lucky if they get to be on the bed at all, even if we're just sleeping!

Sometimes we'll start off with the covers on, but they'll usually just fall away anyways. If it's really cold in the room, we'll make more of an effort to keep under the covers.
