I was talking to a friend of mine and she said she hasn't had sex (with a partner )in almost 2 years.
And it got me thinking, is this something that happens a lot?(she is divorced with kids). So what is the longest you have gone without sex with a partner since you became sexually active?.

Since I first had sex? Almost 2 months. I was 16 though lol. It was between my 1st boyfriend and only sex partner and my 2nd.

But as an adult? Almost 3 weeks only because my bf was long distance.

I can't imagine going 2 months now! lol

I went for a year - voluntarily. After leaving my first wife I took a year off to 'cleanse'. It was a great choice - I came away from the experience fresh and ready to new experiences. Never want to do it again - but it was right at the time.

I was with a guy and didn't have sex with him for over a year, this was the first time i was on chemo. I was afraid to have sex while i was on chemo and i had no sex drive what so ever. I was also not sexually attracted to him anymore. he was great and stuck with me through all that. And i do honestly believe that he never cheated on me. Although, now i say he totally should have lol.

I was at college, and was away from My Man, and although we had an Open Relationship, I didn't find a man I liked enough and thought would treat me well enough until later (Jesuit University, a LOT of immature Frat boys, who hadn't seen a girl since 8th grade and were VERY sexist and really didn't seem to know what women needed very well)

I went a month. I went home and saw My Man and it was fantastic. I eventually found a fuck buddy at college, but my drive was higher than his, and he left and went back home to the East Coast before I graduated. But, I have never gone that long without it. Before or since. I was a wreck.

Was supposed to go SIX WEEKS after my first two kids were born. Yeah. Right. We lasted about 10 days. The doctors were more forgiving in later years, My Man reminded me I persuaded him he needed a Blow Job, from the air mattress on the floor, (I was in too much pain to get into the waterbed) when our youngest baby was only 5 days old.

I don't do well without sex.

After a really bad break-up I was an emotional wreck and didn't want anything to do with men for a while. I went nearly 10 months without, and I didn't have the benefit of any sex toys to see me through. #neveragain

I'm currently in a relationship, I don't think we go without it that long. As far as I can recall we haven't gone a whole month without it but we have gone longer than 1-2 weeks.

Years ago when we were insanely busy running a business, plus jobs, kid's activities and homeschooling, we would go months, even close to a year without. This went on for quite a while. I wish now that we had spent more on our marriage and sex life, but hindsight is 20/20. At least we have now and I won't let anything get in the way of our marriage and sex life now.

2-4 months was my selection. The first two years of my relationship with my husband were long distance, due to him being 250 miles away in college. Our dry spells were as long as three months at a time. They were torturous, but oh, the reunification sex...!

Close to a year here w/ my ex. About every 6 months to a year I think we felt like we "had" to. It was rather said. This went on for about 8 out of the 10 years we were married.

I've been with my current bf now 8 months and we haven't gone any longer than about 36 hours and that's torture. lol.
