What smells sexually arrouse you?

Contributor: Wrecked-Czech Wrecked-Czech
Aside from and scent your partner has naturally (sweat, pussy, breath, etc.) What scents ignite a spark to get the fire going in your sex life? For me it's a vanilla musk or a rich fruity smell but not too sweet.

Let's hear them!

The smell of clean sheets, they don't stay clean for long.

Sandlewood. Any incense scent also. Totally a turn-on.

The smell of his cologne. The perfume I only wear when it's sexy time.

I'm a total sandalwood/incense fan as well, and ditto on the smell of clean, sun-dried sheets. And the soap he uses. And I think the smell of sweets (cookies, muffins, cake) baking too.

Aside from his own scent, the smell of his cologne really turns me on. Also, the smell of pink grapefruit, spearmint, and rain also do it for me.

When he's fresh from the shower, so the smell of warm body and the soap and shampoo he uses, I guess.

I also love candles when we're in the bedroom, so I associate spicy citrus, vanilla, and lavender scents with nekkid time. Man, I love massage candles!

No scent makes me unusually aroused. I'm turned on by her scent, and that's really all. Candles, perhaps. But I only enjoy them because of the heat, not the scent.

Actually, Taylor makes me wear this cotton candy body spray cuz he likes it. When I wear it, he sniffs me and nuzzles me a lot and generally wants to be close to me which leads to groping and grabbing and fondling and tickling, which makes me horny.

So. Yeah. Cotton candy, in a roundabout way. Heh.

But I'd also tackle a carny for some of the real stuff.

I agree with the above posters who said pink grapefruit and rain. Not candle-scent rain, though, * real * rain. The smell, sound, and taste of it together make me go into hyper cuddle mode, which leads to extreme cuddles.

Jasmine and vanilla...but also as just a scent trigger from my teenage days, the smell of beer and cigarettes on someone's breath. I know it sounds awful, but it just triggers memories of ...old boyfriends and ...stuff.

I love a really thick, cedar smell..amber and sandalwood are high on my "make me want to fuck" list too.

My boss at work wears a cologne and the cedar in it is so damn strong. Now, he's a pretty fugly guy, definitely not my cup of joe and never would be, but when he walks into a room my hormones go crazy. If I wasn't married, I think I just might explore any daddy issues I ever had with that man because of the cologne he wears.

link <-- it's that cologne. and Wow, fucking wow. He makes even the ugliest man smell as if he looked like David Beckham.

For the people who like the scent of rain, you should check out the company Demeter Fragrances/Demeter Scent Library. They have a lot of unusual perfumes, including one that is the scent of rain, the scent of dirt, and another that is "thunderstorm." The thunderstorm one is really eerie, it's so close to what a real thunderstorm smells like. I wouldn't want to wear it as a perfume every day, but I spray it on my pillow sometimes. My favorite scent from them (to wear) is "ginger ale." Weirdest ones: "mold" and "lobster." Who wants to smell like lobster?!?

There's this website that supposedly gives away free samples of weird scents link including Pumpkin Spice, Grease Monkey, and Fourth of July. I requested a sample last year.... but it still hasn't turned up. Still, their names crack me up.

I * don't * know of any reason why anyone would want to smell like mold. Lobster either. "You smell fishy, is everything ok?" "Oh, it's just my new Lobster perfume."

If you have a few *hours* to peruse the handmade fragrances, Black Phoenix Alchemy Lab is pretty amazing. I figured I'd share because it is a really cool company.

There are hundreds of perfume oil blends to choose from, each with a detailed (and often amusing) description. The link goes to an actual page of brews, but don't be fooled - that's one of about 27 different sets/lists because all of the links on the left with names like "Neil Gaiman" or "Ars Moriendi" or "Sin & Salvation" are each pages with an A - Z list of perfume oils too. I was in a sorta stupor of choice-paralysis when I first discovered it. Now I own 3 different delicious scents - and oh man, are they strong. A *dab* or two is all you need.

You'll be making a list on scratch paper, trust me. I decided to try little samples sizes called "Imp's ears" of the ones that sounded the most wonderful - they're little vials, so you can see which you like best. It leads you to believe that you can only order 1 or 6 of them (imps), but you can order 3 or 4 by putting one in your cart, listing the names of the ones you want in the box then changing the quantity to match the amount of samples/ names.

I love my husband's colognes. As a matter of fact, I'm the one who picks them out. But I espcially love the smell of him, period! The combination of him, his soap, his shampoo and his cologne.

Musky manly smells, light danty sents on woman, and ok don't hate cause I don't know why it does it but grilling meat. The smell of flame cooked meat just does something to me. I don't understand it. Maybe it's a more primal thing? IDk

Just to say, I love the idea of weird scents! I so tried to request one of the samples of from the link listed, but it says it's not working. Phooey.

And, back to the main topic. My husband has a deodorant from Axe...I think it's the Phoenix fragrance. It smells SO good when he puts in on right after a shower. Between that and nice clean sheets, whew, I'm ready!

Sandalwood and myrrh- they're just so warm and sensual, cedar, my husband smells lightly of cedar, not sure why, he doesn't wear cologne. Also spent gunpowder and metal... I think that's just because the empowerment I feel after a day at the range or wherever, as well as the fact that most of the time he's with me so I get that feeling of a man that can protect me, which I've not had in a long long time.

I am going to have to check out those sites! Some of the scents sound really different, which is cool. I hate smelling like the woman sitting beside me, I like to leave a memory scent, I call it.

Amber (the scented resin used in incense and perfume, not the stone). It's so warm and rich and sensuous. Ask people not familiar with the scent what it smells like, and you get everything from "vanilla and coconut" to "sex and teddybears and leather jackets." It's such a decadent scent.

Bump.

I mix my own scent - nag champa and amber oils in a jojoba base oil. Always wear it when meeting Mulder ... he now associates the scent with sex.

For my reactions, it's any of Method's soaps because that's what Mulder uses - his musk with Method, and I'm ready. He also 'marks' me that way because we always shower after our activity and he soaps me down with it. I've had my revenge: I've mixed a spray version of my perfume and began 'marking' his apartment with it when he's not looking.
