The thought of dirty, jagged nails going into my body makes me cringe. I even cringe when I see a girl jam her inch long acrylic nails into another girl in a porn movie. I have nothing against acrylics, but I think I would ask my partner to wear a glove in that case.

Acrylic nails hurt far far far far less than natural nails do. As long as they're clean I don't mind if they're long, as long as they're fake
Fake nails are blunt (usually) and thicker than natural (so they're not scratchy) so it doesn't matter much. If someone had long natural nails I'd tell them to keep their claws away from my vag, no matter how clean they were.

This is half the reason I don't finger myself because I have naturally long, thick nails and it's very hard to clip them. My parnter keeps his nails short and I always make him wash his hands before playtime. I get yeast infections really easy so it's not worth it to us to risk it if he doesn't wash his hands.

Sometimes, even with my gf's nails trimmed short, they still seem to catch on me :-/ Then again, we tend to get a little rough. Bleeding seems to be a semi-regular thing with me.
I like to get my nails done with acrylic tips, but I ALWAYS, ALWAYS ALWAYS, wear them very short. I can't type or do anything at my job with long ones. I always get them short and I'm constantly cleaning them out and washing my hands.

They must have clean, short nails free of jagged edges. It's a requirement that the middle and ring finger of both hands be cut short. I've accidentally hurt myself (drawn blood) when I went at myself with long-ish nails.
