Definitely urethral lengthening. The only reason I'd get a metoidioplasty is so that I could urinate standing.

If I was going to go through with the metoidioplasty in the first place, and money was no option, might as well.
You're going to be laid up and and in pain already so I figure why not ?
All surgeries have a rate of failure - so you just have to talk to your surgeon and see if it's worth it to you and if there are any personal anatomical complications that make one route or the other a better option.

Okay, thanks guys. The reason I had asked is the surgeon I talked to said that urethral lengthening had a much higher rate of complications than metoidioplasty that did not have that included, and I am still deciding what I shall do.

I'm holding out on bottom surgery until a better option comes around, I'm preeeeeeettty unhappy with how phalloplasties are at the moment, and I don't want JUST a meto. I've read bits of articles about transplants starting to happen. I'd rather wait for that and just deal for a while. So, a STP packer for me!

The back end is a biggish funnel shape which means you do not have to be as precise about getting it lined up with your urethra (which could be awkward in the men's room) and also that it has more space to catch fluid and is much less likely to overflow. It's a bit pricey but I have had mine about half a year and they're definitely worth it.

It's a hard choice, but I think I'd get it so that I wouldn't have to keep worrying about STP packers or anything like that.

If I was paying and getting surgery already, I'd probably get a urethral lengthening so I'd at least have the option to stand to pee on my own. I've never tried an STP, but they just seem inconvenient D: (you have to wash them and store them etc etc).
Though recently I've been reassured that it's perfectly fine for a man to sit to pee. Cis guys do it more often than I thought.

The only concern I'd have would be complications with the procedure. I've heard that fistulas and other issues are quite common with the lengthening.

Urethral lengthening!! However, I'm patient, and I believe that they will have new, better methods by the time I'm in the market for surgery. I'm not even on T yet.

I plan on having phallo, but if that wasnt and option id get the full meta w/ urethral lenghtening and testicle implants.

I'm fine with how I am down there/ have generally never felt dysphoria, unless it has to do with T making bits bigger.. in which case I'm more like jealous I guess, not dysphoric.
Having an stp to use sometimes would be cool, but a really good quality one, mostly because I can be germaphobic/ have often seen toilets in horrendous conditions and wouldn't mind easier access to pee anywhere, like if I were on the middle of the nowhere on a roadtrip and really had to go

Urethral lengthening is the only reason I currently have any interest in lower surgery. I say "currently" because my interest in it ebbs and flows, perhaps if money wasn't an issue I might be able to make a more solid decision.
