Personally I just use a jock strap from the store. Cheaper, and easier.

I prefer a harness that doesn't double as underwear, I'm currently just using a shoelace HAHha but, I'm getting a very cheap just-around-the-waist harness from another site soon.

Yeah...I ended up making something similar because the leather was a pit off-putting (especially if you actually intend to wear it often and therefore wash it often...)

I already have a Rodeoh, and I've used that for packing before, but of course I can't use that more than one day in a row (two or maybe three if I use pantiliners). I haven't tried using a makeshift strap under normal underwear yet, but that's my next step. In an ideal world, I'd have enough packing underwear to get through the week, but that'll take awhile on my budget.

You can make your own out of elastic or buy one from somewhere else that's way cheaper...

I would have said the trunks ones, but after reading the posts here it seems better to DIY one or use a harness or jockstrap. Except if you intend not to wear it too often or wear other underwear underneath, seems better for hygiene.

i would make a DIY one similar to the rodeoh. or make a couple like that, even. and wear them outside briefs if you're worried they'll get nasty. that or homemade straps (not an option for me because mine's an STP device). all kinds of info on diy harnesses/straps on tumblr

I don't pack myself, but I have used a number of harnesses. I think, right now, the RodeoH is the best for packing comfort. Unfortunately for me, I don't care for it all that much for pegging.

If you want something minimalist, you can sew a loop of thick elastic to fit where you want the packer to hit on your body, and then make a small horizontal slit at the front. wedge the shaft through the slit and there you go. an old underwear band with the rest cut off will work too.

out of the four presented, I'd have to go with the trunks, if only because it's been so long since I've worn briefs I wouldn't know how to feel in them

Of course, I don't wear/pack everyday and I wash them after every use [Summer's here now, and- well, sweat, y'know] and I don't shove them in the dryer, as I've heard that wears clothes down quicker

I like the Commando because I can wear it under any style of underwear and it works really well, but I bet the trunks and briefs styles are great, too, since you can wear them on their own.

Actually, my boyfriend and I find it to be much cheaper to just make him his own. Get some cotton boyshorts (yes sadly you have to use ladies underwear because they're more form-fitting and briefs don't quite cut it). Find a plastic (metal will hurt you and you wont be able to wash them) O-rings in your size. Cut a small hole where you feel it would be comfortable and sew the O-ring into it. Make sure it is very secure. Cut out a piece of a shirt or other material soft enough to be comfortable on your skin and form it to the crotch area of the underwear. Sew that on tightly, leaving a fair amount of room for your balls and an opening at the top. It's up to you what color you'd like but nude is what he prefers since it's like a second skin. I hope this helps some

I have the SpareParts trunks and I love them. I have really sensitive skin so I have trouble placing rubbery things directly against my body for any length of time. I love that the trunks give me a barrier that saves my skin from torment. HOWEVER. Well engineered as they are, $40/pair for underwear is just too much money for everyday wear. Also, I already hate the amount of layers I already seem to be wearing so the packing straps that would save my skin are just too much of a hassle. My solution was to buy underwear from TranZwear. Don't let the retro look of their website scare you off. Their stuff is pretty well put together and very affordable. I really like the BulletBriefs system, and they offer different methods of attaching the packer pocket to suit different tastes/lifestyles. The only caveat is that when you order from them, you need to expect a month of lead time.
