No, I've had parties thrown for me & thrown others myself. None of them were a surprise though. I suppose there were surprising elements incorporated into the parties that the birthday girl didn't know were coming, which was great though.

No sadly I've never been thrown a surprise party and I have not had the opportunity to throw a surpise party for one either. I did surprise my dad for his 65th birthday. He didn't know we were coming to visit that weekend! I will never forget the look on his face!

I've helped organize a few - mostly in attaining numbers from the address books of the birthday'ee and doing the invites. One was really big with well over a hundred people and she had no idea any of us were planning it (her nephew photo-bombed her reaction by tackling her in a hug just as we snapped the pic).

I've never had a surprise party, and I really don't want one. Being put on the spot like that horrifies me.

I've had a suprise birthday thrown for me once, but it wasn't my birthday. I've had others thrown for me meant to be a surprise but I knew about it.

In like 6th grade my friends tried to organize one for me, but I kind of knew what they were up to and it wasn't much of a surprise. But I remember it being nice.

Never had one myself. I always knew mine were happening, but I'm okay with that. I like looking forward to knowing I'll be having a party. My mom and I planned a surprise party for my partner one year -- turned out great. We've surprised family members with b-day parties. It has always went well.

I've never had a birthday party period. I can see myself throwing a surprise party, though.

I have never had a surprise birthday party but have thrown one and it was fun! I don't think I would mind having a surprise party although I think I would worry about my house being clean if it was at my place and how I looked LOL

I organized one for my husband many years ago. It turned out perfectly and was one of the more memorable events...he had both his dad and stepdad, all his relatives and our cat ended up in emergency surgery....kitty is till with us and the party was such a success.

His uncle & aunt were the only ones in on it, the uncle took him riding while his aunt said she was too sore from last time--of course I had to stay home with her, lol!! They were at our house. Hauled ass to the store and bought seafood and a cake--wanted homemade but no time--and got cooking!! The guests pulled in and parked in the back yard--not visible from driveway--and when he got back from riding (it snowed) he was soooo surprised. Then the vet called, had to take kitty in while his aunt stayed to cook and said he needed surgery for kidney stones....All in all, a wonderful day, though.
