My family is strongly opposed to houses covered in blue lights.
My block is covered in them, they give off such a creepy vibe, not cheery at all!
What's your opinion on them?

they're okay in restraint. my mom says it shows the houses that have kids.

Yes, they do make houses look kind of creepy, but they're nice when you use it on the trees. In old Chinese customs, families hang blue lanterns outside their front door, to signal someone in their household has passed away.

I think they look tacky. I'm a traditional, colored bulbs or all white bulbs kinda gal myself.

I hate the blue lights! They make my eyes feel weird when I look at them, like they can't focus properly or something. It's like they're bright but dim at the same time. I only like white lights.

We've set up a tree with all blue and purple ornaments this year. It looks pretty and makes a gentle light, unlike a bright, colorful or white tree.

I like them in moderation, personally I'm growing more and more fond of a mix of white lights and colored ones.
I love the simple sort of elegance of the white ones but I also love the pop of color of the colorful ones. =^.^=

Blue lights are my favorite, but maybe that's because that's my favorite color.
I think it looks "classier" than those yellow-ish white lights, but the pure bright white lights are fine too.

When I was married my husband loved blue lights and our white tree was covered in blue lights and xmas balls. I can't stand the color blue now. So this year, if I put the tree up. I will be going with something more colorful..
