If you find the agency and send me the link, and get the ball rolling - then you're in! As long as you are able to do the shopping and deliver to the family when needed

People could cash in their EdenPoints and donate that as money - we'll match every point for .50 - so, if you donate 20.00 in points, it's $10 in cash that goes towards to getting lots of extras for these families.
I really liked this part of the idea! It offers alternatives that can work for anyone who wants to participate!

I'm not entirely sure how to make it work flawlessly, but I am completely in support of it.
The details will need to be worked out, but some will also depend on the volunteers and charitable organizations.

Also, church groups, neighborhood organizations, and so on, are all ok - whatever is available in your area - we don't care about the politics of it, as long a family in need is getting help!

I know it's just a brainstorm, but it's really amazing you guys care like that.

So we just send a link to the organization or do we need to also include a description of the family it will be helping?

So.. I googled for Philadelphia, for example - just the phrase "Adopt a family Philadelphia" and found a few organizations.

I suggest doing the same, if you're interested.

Any ideas for how to make this as much of a community-centric giving campaign as it can be?

I am sure Good Will in this area might be up for this. I'll have to discuss it with Sigel because right now we keep his and my "jobs" seperate...this area is a bit weird about keeping up appearances and his job depends on the community's goodwill. Still he might know someone who works in the charity who would be interested in helping some families...the fireman's association is the most active charity in this are this time of year.
How Exciting!

That's actually a tough one that I was thinking of just now - how to tie this into the sex toy aspect. I'm not sure if there's really a way, but I would think that just showing that we're helping out means that we're not only sex positive, but human positive too.

Check out the organization - some have applications, to make sure you agree to their terms of giving / commitment. Then once you see that you can do everything they ask for, email me with a link of you have one, and we'll work it out.

Meh I will be honest and say that as a military brat our charity was the squadron...and I've been on the receiving end or qualified for it for most of our married life. This is the first time we are able to actually give to more than UNICEF! I am virgin...I have no idea how these things work!

It's not "EdenFantasys" doing this. It's the 'EdenCommunity'. No sex toys involved. It's not about corporate giving, it's about community giving.

Spreading the word that we are not sex freaks and that we actually DO care about more than our genitals (Yup that was the latest nasty thing said about me being involved in sex toy reviewing) is a great focus all in itself.
