Halloween is coming up!

Halloween is coming up soon, I was curious to know if anyone thought about dressing up and what their costumes are going to be. I love witches so I am going as a witch, myself. Though I am planning on getting a naughty Little Red Riding Hood costume to surprise my partner with after the party is over or when we close up for the night from trick or treaters.

I really don't know what I want to do for Halloween yet. I might pull something out of my closet and use an old costume so I can save some money. But, I really don't know! Now you've got me looking up costumes

Last year hubby and I wore pirate outfits. Different ones of course, but it was so cute! And we even had a mini pirate costume, that we put on our cat! It was one happy pirate family. Costumes are expensive, especially for bigger girls, such as myself, so I will either wear the same costume this year, or make something up. Hubby might not be home for halloween this year, so I might not need anything special.

I will probably be a generic goth again or a female Crow again. Or might take down the Pyramid Head costume I made 5 years ago. But I need to repair it.

No idea what I'll be doing after dressing up, though.

One of my friends is finishing up fixing the house she just bought, so she's thinking of having a House Warming Halloween Party ... "Bring a dish, wear a costume, and we'll supply the music." (She and her fiance have their own bands.)

I'm going to get a Malice in Wonderland costume - link - as soon as the local Spirit store opens.

Except I'll get a Lady Gaga wig to wear with it (not sure which one though) and a big black bow. And I'll wear a pair of motorcycle boots instead of the Mary Jane heels they suggest. And I'll find a mini-booze bottle to put a 'Drink Me' sticker on it and wear it on a necklace.

I Halloween!!!

(I was going to start a thread like this in late September, but you beat me to it, hon.)

I haven't really put any thought into it yet. Last Halloween we had to move a bunch of stuff on top of having worked all day, so I think the most festive I got was a pair of skeleton earrings, lol. I'm hoping to be able to dress up and go out this year, I'm just not sure what as yet.

I dunno. I might buy myself a costume as a reward for a mini-weight loss goal. Our town is weird about Halloween and actually celebrates it the Thursday night before it for some reason. If we're able, we dress the kids up and take them to the festival in town. For the grown up fun we head over to a local haunted house/corn field for some fun.

I've always wanted to do a theme for the whole family, but the kids never want to wear the same kinda costumes. I'd love to dress them all up as little Harry Potter characters or Super Mario Bros.

i love Coquette costumes, so I will likely pick something from their collection. Last year I was a Darque nurse and this year I might do something else from the Darque collection.

Halloween is my favorite holiday. I don't have plans right at the moment and, unfortunately, I usually don't. I've always wanted to throw a lavish party complete with haunted house/shed/whatever, but I never have that kind of money to spend. :-( I'll probably just be home watching horror movies.

Halloween is my favorite holiday; even more than Christmas. Last year, I was a dead prom queen, and my boyfriend was the creature that killed me. This year, I want to be a vampire and he is my latest victim.

My boyfriend really has a thing for Selene from the Underworld movies, so I'm probably going to dress up as her for Halloween. The only problem is, it isn't really the type of costume you just put together so I'll have to make it from scratch/ buy separate pieces.

I am going to be a funky female mad matter. I made an awesome mini tophat with feathers and a dipioni silk bow..and I'm going to have feather false eyelashes and crazy makeup. Then I have an awesome 50's style circle skirt that I'm going to wear and put together a funky outfit. I am going to be doing some photography for a masquerade party the night before so I'll be dressing up for that. My husband said that instead of mad hatter ill be the hysterical haberdasher. lol

On halloween night I most likely dress up because It will be all about my little girl.

I haven't dressed up since I was a kid.

I usually just have a scary movie night and watch a few classics.

Maybe dress up, take some pictures, and send them to him? I'm sure he'd appreciate a little photoshoot I hear ya about wanting to study though. I have this terrible habit of finding ways to distract myself when I should be hitting the books!

Part of me wants to dress up as a Battlestar Galactica pilot, and part of me wants to be something... sexier. My boyfriend is actually going to be in town that week (he goes to school in a different country... it's a BIG fucking deal that he's going to be here) so I want something good. Granted, he did have a huge crush on Kara 'Starbuck' Thrace when he was a teen :p

At our house it's Samhain as well as Halloween, so we actually celebrate 2 holidays together, but in different ways. If we wind up doing something with our more modern friends, I'll probably just wear my regular Samhain garb (which is a hooded cloak with nothing under it) because nobody would know it wasn't a costume!

That's how I feel, so I am pretty much sewing my witch costume from scratch. I really need to get started on it! :p

Actually, my room mate celebrates Samhain as well and I used to throughout high school but I just ended up becoming non-religious I guess so I haven't really in a while. That's great to hear that you celebrate both, it sounds fun!

I think a Battlestar Galactica pilot is pretty darn sexy myself! Look at Apollo or Helo! I think it's a great idea! I have a girl crush on Starbuck - she's great! I'd love to dress up as Starbuck but I think I make a better President Roslyn.
