I don't think anyone actually enjoys doing taxes, but how many of you actually do them yourself? (I don't understand them at all, haha, so I certainly don't do my own.)

Hy wife has been doing ours with Turbo Tax for years.

We have an accountant, so for us it's simply dropping papers off and then signing them at the end. It's business taxes or we would do them ourselves.

My husband does our taxes. We tried Turbo Tax one year; for us, it took longer than doing it by hand, and we didn't get a single penny more back than when we did it by hand.

So, he just takes a morning and does both Federal and State taxes for us.

My parents made me start doing my taxes towards the end of high school (woohoo...), so I've done them ever since then and took over my partner's as well. Ours are pretty simple this year at least, but in the past we've had some multiple employers, states, etc. issues that made it so much more fun...

I pay someone to do ours, we are married with two kids, go to school, have a business, and have a normal income. I keep all of my receipts and everything is in perfect order for the accountant.

I do our monthly sales tax for the business, but not the yearly ones.

We have a guy.

We have to file quarterly (business) and it would just be too much of a headache and time-suck to do it ourselves. Not to mention that if WE screwed up, we'd be on the hook for the (potentially huge) penalties (etc), but if our tax preparer made a mistake, it would be on HIM. Moot point so far (knocks on wood), but well worth the cost. Not to mention he probably saves us money by knowing stuff to deduct we didn't know.

Until I got married, I did my own taxes. But with 2 incomes, working from home, kids etc... I now gladly pay someone else to handle it.

I feel like i am cheating by saying I do them. I plug in the info and TURBO TAX does them. Thank god for that
