Got the idea from Ash1141, thanks, can't remember a year I didn't.
How many of you get Chinese food on Christmas Eve?

My parents do. But I spend Christmas eve with my in-laws and they put on a huge spread.

Its not tradition but I do love chinese
12/08/2011
I haven't regularly but it sounds like a good idea!
12/08/2011
That's for New Year's Eve.
12/08/2011
never done this!

We've been doing enchiladas for the last three years. Used to get Chinese when we lived in DC and NY primarily because they were open.

Chinese food in the south sucks for the most part.

We make pizza fondue

My family get Chinese food from the same restaurant every year for NEW YEAR'S EVE, not Christmas.
12/08/2011
I don't eat Chinese food ever.
12/09/2011
I have before.

My husband and I do this. My family tends to get a little out of control on Holidays so I opt for a drama free approach. Sad, but true. :/

Hmm...never. Normally we don't make a big deal about Christmas eve dinner, because we're just all gonna be stuffed the next day.
12/09/2011
I hate Chinese food.
12/09/2011
Never had Chinese for Christmas.

I'd love to do that myself, but I don't think my parents would permit it during a family dinner. Dammit. I love me some good Chinese food...

Love Chinese food, but my wife's family has a huge family party with lots of delicious food.

When my dad had us for Christmas Eve, we'd go to a Chinese restaurant.
12/09/2011
never done this!

Christmas eve when I was a kid was a day to rest before Midnight Mass and present opening. We did sometimes get chinese food but we would also get pizza or burgers. On Christmas day we would have a big dinner.

Now a days we celebrate the Solstice more often than not but if Arch is here or we are in Canada we will have a nice dinner both nights...cause it's a special thing, ya know?
12/10/2011
We celebrate on Christmas Eve...no chinese for us, just delicious home-cooked birds and piggies!
12/10/2011
Never! We do a small dinner, then family gifts and a house party at my grandparent's house, and come home late at night for appetizers and gift exchange with our immediate family.
12/14/2011
Never have. It's usually cookies and milk; or appetizers.
12/14/2011
I might tomorrow.
12/24/2011
Not every year, but sometimes. We even got some on Christmas day a couple years ago, I wasn't feeling well and putzed around all day instead of putting the ham in early enough.
