Not that much... I suppose if I could wear it in more than one location/place around the year, I might spend a bit more. I don't really have much money to spend on costumes these days, though!

Less than $100. I prefer to make my costumes myself, so a DIY costume shouldn't cost too much.

I'm actually going to an Exotic Halloween BALL spread throughout 150,000 square feet - I've never heard of a BALL for Halloween. this is a huge, huge, party with 3 dance clubs, an astounding laser light show, an Exotic Haunted House, a bikini lap dance stage, $5,000 prize for best costume, and performances by Gavin DeGraw plus the Black Cards, and more. this will be the best party ever I'll have gone to! -- they're expecting over 15,000 people!

I dont think you have to spend a lot of money as long as its very original. What were your ideas for the costume?

Depends on the cost of the materials, if it's that big of a competition a costume you make yourself might stand out among the store bought ones a little more.
I'd say no more than $100 though, unless you don't have a sewing machine already.
