I never visited a mall santa as a child. There's no mall where I live. I did go to NJ one Christmas, but I don't remember seeing a Santa.

I don't recall ever being freaked out by Santa. I even have a Polaroid photo of myself on my second birthday sitting on the lap of a store Santa. I look totally calm.

My parents never did it - either the mall or anywhere else. I remember family friends calling and pretending to be Santa ... even my ex-husband did that for friends' kids.

From the pictures I saw, I looked like I was fine with it...but visiting Petco Santa scared the living daylights out of Ceaser for some reason.
