The "new normal" in this bad economy is that stores will be opening on Thanksgiving evening, with "door-buster" sales. I know Sears, K-Mart and Target are open. I am sure there will be many others. So, will you be out shopping on Thanksgiving evening?

Hell no

I'll be out for sure. We're lucky in that we live inside of the city limits of Atlanta, and not nearly as many people are out as in the suburbs and so forth. I'll also like it in that we'll go out on Thursday evening, be done by about 1:00 AM and not have to get up and trudge out to the stores at 4:00 AM like we used to.

Hell No. No offence to the ones that go out. But your crazy lol. I went once and will never go again. I look for deals way before hand. I am done except for stocking stuffer. Done! Done! no crazy shoppers for me lol
11/16/2012
I'm not shopping on Thursday, or on Friday. There's nothing I need to buy so badly that I need to take part in that madness.

I enjoy shopping, but I would never go shopping on Thanksgiving...I'd rather spend that time with family. I've also never been into Black Friday shopping in stores, just too busy and the deals are usually not so much better than the rest of the holiday season deals. I don't know, I usually do a little online shopping on cyber Monday and then just space the rest of the shopping season out in a normal fashion.

I probably won't go out shopping, and certainly not on Thanksgiving. If I go visit my family (they live a few hours away from me), I'll probably go to the mall the day before Thanksgiving.

Nah, it is more important to spend time with family, not worrying about what to spend money on!

Honestly I think its sad. We've become so enamored of 'the deal'. Retailers simply manipulate pricing to make us think we're saving money.
Indeed you may get that toy at 10 or 20% less than your neighbor - but at the expense of leaving your kids and family behind - when you should be together.

NO nEVER I used to work retail and on holidays I was always so sad when I had to work. Which was almost every holiday. And ppl are mean when they shop
11/16/2012
Hell no... I will be far away from the stores all weekend.
11/16/2012
Nope, sure won't.
11/16/2012
No, not on Thanksgiving
11/16/2012
I don't think so, I'll be busy cooking!
11/16/2012
Nope
11/16/2012
I will be as far away from all retail locations as I possibly can be.

Not here in Maine. It is illegal for companies with over 5000 sq ft of space to be open on Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. Everything opens at 12:01 on Friday.

Probably. I don't really do much on Thanksgiving. I am not made of money. I need a good deal.

I'm going to my partners family's for Thanksgiving. Apparently it's tradition to go to the bar after dinner so I doubt we'll be shopping.
11/17/2012
I will be too full to move!
11/17/2012
No it's a day for family not shopping.
11/17/2012
No, I will be with family.
11/17/2012
Yes I know I am crazy
11/17/2012
Not unless I am in dire need of something. I feel bad for the people who are working!

No, I might...might do Black Friday but only if it's for something that I really need like books and college supplies. Otherwise, bring on Cyber Monday!
11/17/2012
Nope, not planning out going out for most of the weekend.
