Bands like Dr. Hook & The Medicine Show?

Maybe some of the older EFers will know what I'm talking about when I ask about Dr. Hook. I grew up listening to them (my grandmother and my dad loved those guys) and I haven't been able to find similar sounding bands in any of the newer stuff that comes out these days. Any indie bands or ones I might have overlooked that have a similar low-maintenance attitude and sarcastic and fun twang about them?
