I prefer Family Guy to American Dad. To me American Dad just seems like it's trying way too hard to be funny where Family Guy, while still trying, doesn't seem as much like the drunk guy in the corner poorly screaming along to a song to get your attention, lol. That's just my opinion tho. I will watch them both, but I just prefer Family Guy.

I switched to American Dad only because I'm so sick of the paraplegic jokes on Family Guy. Most of Family Guy's humor is pretty intelligent (relative to the rest of television, anyway) but the jokes about Joe (the paraplegic character) are just so ignorant and it bothers the hell out of me.

None. I've never watched family dad,but it's so weird because the first time I ever heard of it was today! Someone was talking about the american dad show making fun of HANSON. BOO! So, I automatically don't like american dad. lol Jk, but I don't think I'd find either of them to be funny. I know I don't like family guy. I don't get that kind of humor and find a lot of it to be distasteful.

I'd have to go with Family Guy. American Dad gets too political for me to enjoy it sometimes, and I honestly find Roger and other characters to be really annoying. I don't find much entertainment in watching American Dad reruns, but I can still laugh at most Family Guy reruns.

Initially Family Guy was a great show, but it seems like they ran out of ideas, now all they do is repeat jokes and those Brian and Stewy episodes. The characters are predictable and Peter is just a punch line machine. Plus American Dad actually has some sort of continuity and character development.

I really can't think of any two worse programs I have seen aired before.
I like comedy, I just don't like that comedy, and those shows are embarrassing that they are borne form my children's generation. I am glad they choose not to like them, but it shows what awful shape the current generation is in when you see how popular it has become.
