I remember don't remember seeing it, but I remember my grandma crying when Mufasa died in "The Lion King". The first movie I actually remember seeing was "Titanic" when I was about 5. What was the first movie you remember seeing in a movie theater?

Babe. The first part where all the pigs are going to the slaughterhouse and Babe is crying for his mother? Yeah, that traumatized me for a while. I'm shocked it didn't turn me into a lifelong vegetarian.

I was young, don't remember how old, but Beauty and the Beast, lol!

One of the old Muppet movies...I just have a mental image of a huge Kermit the Frog with theater stairs in front of me. My mom told me that we had to leave early because I was 3 and was much more interested in running up and down the stairs than I was in sitting still and watching a movie.

I remember my first movie in a drive-in theater - it was Star Wars. I am SO old! And I sure do miss drive-in theaters...

Mary Poppins. Yes, I am old...

Pocahontas. I was 8 years old.

My first was ET at a drive in I think I was maybe 8.

I love Mary Poppins, I have it on both DVD and VHS, along with the Dark Crystal and the Labrynth.

Mine was "E.T." as well, when I was four. I got a stuffed E.T. for my birthday when I turned five because I loved that movie so much.

I remember seeing the Mask when I was young. My grandfather (deceased) and mother went so they took me with them. I remember laughing so much that my grandfather put his hand over my mouth just so they could hear the movie.

mine was ET, the theatre i saw it in has been closed for i think about 16 years or so.
it's funny to me that there are a few other people who also answered ET

oh PS - i just quickly looked up ET, it was first in theatres in 1982 ... since i was born in 1980, i can only assume that ET must have been in theatres for a long time

Disney's Snow White with my mom. They brought it back to this one theater.

"Ryan's Daughter" when I was a young teen with my mom and aunt.

I really don't remember that young, the furthest back I can think of is school field trip to watch october sky at a movie theater but feel like that wasn't my first movie.

Mine was Aladdin!
04/02/2013
Toy Story or Lion King. I remember seeing both in theaters, just not sure which came first...and I'm too lazy to Google that shit.
04/02/2013
It was either one of the Jurassic Park movies, or Idle Hand.

I remember the very beginning of the '83 release of RotJ. I also remember going to see ET, but not the actual movie.
04/02/2013
I'm gonna guess Snow white on a school field trip.

Beauty and the Best I know I went to plenty before that but just can't remember what they were.

I think it might have been Pocahontas, but that was probably because the theater burned down shortly after we saw it. I was 7 or so.
04/04/2013
The Hunchback of Notre Dame, I was two, damn!

The Cheyenne Social Club. A western. I was about 6 or 7? Dad dragged the whole family because it was to be the last movie at the historical theater downtown.
We usually went to the drive in. We still have a drive in here but You have to listen from your car stereo. I used to like the outside speakers so I wouldn't have to stay in the car. Things just ain't like they used to be!
