I haven't watched it and have no interest to. It's also not really "anime" style.

I wouldn't really call it "anime" style, either. Besides, anime was influenced by western art in the first place, and western art's been influenced by Japan long before. Stuff happens.
Take a look at Disney movies - I wouldn't call them "anime", either.

To the Japanese, Spongebob is anime But that's just being pedantic. I like the new series. It has good characters: I'll pretty much take character over plot any day, if I had to choose one or the other. And, of course, I'm a big animation fan in general, so yeah.

Definitely a huge fan of the original show, but haven't seen any remakes. MLP is the food of my childhood I still have a bajillion pony toys in the basement at my parents house...LOL

Though I'm not having as much fun with season 2 as I did with season 1 (so far), I still find the show to be highly enjoyable. It's got some wonderfully rounded characters and the fandom is insanely fun to be a part of.

It's a pretty good show, a lot of my friends are really into it. I'm not sure it deserves all the hype it gets, though.

Agreed that anything that is drawn and animated is anime. And couldn't have said it another way: the characters are charming..
