I don't like any of the answers. I think both the book and movie were good, but in different ways.

I think it was a good movie, but nothing spectacular. Worth seeing again, for sure.

I need an 'other' option. I liked the movie but it left out more than I would have liked. This time around the book was def. better than the movie. I really think this movie would have been best in a 2 part because so much was just left out that I felt needed to be shown. Some of the things were changed around as well from how they happened in the book. I just was really let down because I had such high expectations for the movie. The relationships with Katniss and her team, especially Cinna wasn't expressed as well as it should been as well as the major events between her and Peta leading up to the end.

didn't vote. I didn't think the movie was nearly as good as the book. good, but not as good as I expected/hoped.

None of these answers really apply to me. I loved the book series and liked the film, but it just didn't blow me away.

I thought it was okay. They cut out a lot of stuff though...which usually happens.

I saw the movie before I read the book, but I think it followed the book fairly well. I wished they would have put more information into the movie because I was somewhat confused during some parts, though I guess that's what I get for not reading it first

I wish there had been more dialogue between Peta and Katniss. And I was looking forward to seeing Cinna and the 3 stylists (who had odd appearances in the book) spiff her up.

It was good! I found the book better because a movie can only show so much.

I do wish they had more about the mutes who have their tongues taken out for being "a traitor" I found that interesting. But still, it was good.

I definitely agree with the mutes comment here. I must say I thought the movie followed along exceptionally well with the book. I've heard many negative comments about the movie but honestly it's very hard in my opinion to keep with the original books action/plot and not change anything considering the book was entirely in first person perspective.

I think they did an excellent job keeping to what the fans expectations had of the events unfolding, and sure it is hard to follow if you didn't read the books. Again this movie was targeted more towards the fans. It certainly wasn't a trainwreck like the Harry Potter movies... Let's see what happends in the next movie.

I rarely find movies better than books, but I did in this case. The book is very good--well-written, interesting premise, good characters, etc. But I think that the movie, because it's not limited to first-person perspective, can really get into the ethical implications in a way the book can't; the whole mass entertainment angle is really brought out. I definitely recommend seeing it!
