I pick Gandalf B| because he's hardcore - when he comes back as Gandalf the White kthnx noone can kill this fucker. And how old is he anyway? He was aged in the Hobbit and then lived til Bilbo's 111th birthday - and then until Frodo was like wut 60? and then on after that - b/c I haven't finished reading the trilogy idk how many years THAT takes.

I just like Dumbledore more as a character than Gandalf. I remember Dumbledore having a better sense of humor than Gandalf. And definitely not Merlin.

Dumbledore for sure. Gandalf has his moments and all--YOU SHALL NOT PASS!--but magic in the LotR world is extremely limited compared to that in the Potterverse. LotR wizards basically have to use magic sparingly or risk corruption and insanity (hence what happened to Sauroman), whereas Dumbledore can swing that wand around all day without a care in the world. Plus, Dumbledore and Grindelwald engaged in some hot wizard manlove, so there's that.
