According to your BMI, are you over weight? If you are, are you still happy with your weight, or are you trying/going to try to lose some pounds?

My bmi says I am overweight, but I disagree! If I got into the normal range, I would look stick thin.

If I go by BMI, I've been overweight nearly my entire life. Even at my thinnest when I was working out 2-3 hours a day, I was "overweight." BMI doesn't take into account body shape and body fat percentage.

According to my BMI I'm obese - nearly morbidly obese. It's crazy to me! Yes, I need to loose a lot of weight, but I don't think I would say morbidly so.

There was some good discussion of the archaic and ill-conceived concept of BMI here just a few days ago. It's a terrible (and arbitraty) standard to set for yourself, and if you simply wish to live healthily, you definitely should not base your decisions about your weight on a BMI calculator. =)

I'll have to read it when I get on the computer, but I agree. The bmi standards are insane.

Overweight, but bmi is kind of a bad measurement

Normal, and I don't use the BMI to tell me what I should be. I think the BMI overweight category is ill-named. You can be 'overweight' in the BMI system and still be perfectly healthy.

I think I'm considered overweight but I don't mind.

I'm overweight according to my BMI, but I don't look it. I've always weighed a lot more than I look. BMI isn't a very good tool if you ask me.

I am definitely overweight, but not to the extent the BMI calculator would show. There are just so many factors BMI doesn't take into account.

BMIs are so flawed and i dont care for them. But i would more than likely be obese according to my BMI.

That's because BMI is a fiction created by the diet industry and their stooges - the doctors who are mostly overweight themselves! There is a lot more to health than the ration of your height to weight.

Sigh, yes, it was just very recently pointed out to me at work, something new at work requiring a health analysis to save $600 on our health insurance this year. I'm a couple of digits higher than I should be, according to their calculations. I had to laugh, they called me "Apple Shaped". You decide, I'm 5'9" and 172 lbs and they want me down to 167, oh and I'm also going to be 60 this year, I think I'm just right. I wouldn't mind losing a few more pounds, maybe 5 but I'm not on any special diet to lose weight.

Obese according to BMI. Which really hurts, because I don't think I LOOK obese. Of course, I know I'm far from ideal weight, but that label really sucks for someone who wears a size Medium or Large and has a clearly defined waist!

I am normal right now, last year I was underweight according to my BMI. It surely didn't feel this way.

I'm "normal," but the whole BMI system is outdated and ridiculous. Total body mass is a very poor predictor of overall health. I just recently read a study that seemed to show that individuals in the "overweight" category that exercised actually had significantly lower rates of heart problems that otherwise comparable individuals in the "normal" category that exercised.
